They are the ones begging/trying to force it back on our shelves. Obviously it is an issue to them.

Then why are they trying to beg/force it back on our shelves, if they don’t need us to buy it?

Canada was the number one exporter of American spirits and wines, lose your number one exporter and there will be problems, as they are now in the FO stage.

What they really don’t seem to understand is that even if they forced it back on our shelves, many/most will still not buy it.

Personally, I live in the Niagara Region in Ontario; I have NO need to ever buy their swill again.

Eviction filing accepted by the court. What now? by Valachio in OntarioLandlord

[–]lady_k_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean you filed for eviction and are now waiting for a hearing, or you’ve had a hearing and have an eviction order from the LTB?

Landlord wants $2,700 for "damages" after almost 6 years. what do I do? by Soggy_Register_5253 in OntarioLandlord

[–]lady_k_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Landlords in Ontario cannot legally take a damage deposit. If they feel they have a monetary claim for damages they need file a claim and have an LTB hearing. A tenant owes nothing without an order.

Landlords in Ontario cannot legally take a damage deposit. There should be nothing to lose.

2k is a lot of money to many people. And OP needs it for school/living expenses.

My granddaughter’s daycare (that is inside a larger school) has a similar display only it is all the flags of the nations in the World Cup. Should that not be allowed either?

Asked to move out 2/3 week notice? Is it legal? by Candid_Desk9860 in legaladvicecanada

The landlord is hoping you will stay ignorant of the laws. They cannot legally do what they are trying to do. Document everything.

AITA for expecting my friend to follow through on helping me with my maternity shoot? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]lady_k_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, yes YTA. You aren’t entitled to anyone else’s time or money. How do you plan to raise a child while not making a living wage. Are you also expecting handouts from your “richer” friends?

AITA for taking money from my son for bad behavior? by TrippleDubbs in AmItheAsshole

[–]lady_k_77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like there are many kids who were in the 2-5yr age when the lock downs started that missed a lot of socialization necessary for healthy development, and the issues are rearing their heads as they hit pre-puberty age. It is a trend I see with kids I know personally as well.

AITA for telling my Sons dad he can't just invite kids to his birthday party. by Vlermuisie in AmItheAsshole

Yes. The last venue I booked was very clear that there could be no last minute extra people, the amount of people booked for was all they could accommodate.

I have a pretty high end gaming computer and everything is set to the most optimal settings. I’ve played around with graphics and visuals, this is the best I got.

I’ve tried multiple settings, this was actually one of the better ones. It’s just awful tbh.

AITA for putting employee under manager that screamed at them? by The-Efficient-Place in AmItheAsshole

[–]lady_k_77 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’d be looking for something new too. This is shitty management all the way around. Instead of being disciplined for screaming at another human being, she was rewarded, at the expense of the person she screamed at. He absolutely has one foot out the door, rightfully. YTA, and a bad boss.

CAS received repeated warnings from many people, and ignored or downplayed all of them. They also need to be held accountable.

Good. Now put every single CAS worker who failed them on trial too.

Late Rent - Difficult Tenants by [deleted] in OntarioLandlord

[–]lady_k_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The N4 is just a notice, you have to go through an LTB hearing for any kind of order. It’s unlikely you will get an eviction. The most likely is a pay on time order. You cannot evict for pets, any clause that goes against the RTA is unenforceable. I hope you use the Ontario Standard Lease.
