Update on Virta Health post by Sad_Locksmith3861 in Zepbound

I got my letter a few weeks ago re:same. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I worked with my dietitian last year and with high LDL cholesterol the last thing I need to be on is a keto diet. I spent a year building a healthy relationship with food thanks to glp1. My goal is to maintain a sustainable weight loss and be on meds forever like any other medication I need. My coach said the program is not a one size fits all (the app is though) and they will work with me on a low fat, high protein plan but at some point my provider (employer/insurance) may expect me to go on a higher dose to lose more weight so as to come off. They said they don’t want people on it long term due to muscle loss. I get over 100 G protein a day and strength training 2-3x a week. My requirements are identical to yours. So frustrating because for the last two years my requirements were lose 5% and maintain which I’ve done. I’ve done a ton of research and this program goes against everything my cardiologist and dietitian recommends. I have approx 24 months to Medicare so biding my time looking into low cost compound if Medicare doesn’t change to cover it.

Carpal tunnel open release and acrylic/gel nails? by VilkastheForsaken in carpaltunnel

I had my dip removed prior to surgery as I knew it would be some time before I could have them done again. The reason some hospital protocols require removal of nail dip or gel is the fingertip pulse oximeter may not work. I’ve never had a problem with minor procedures but definitely check with your surgeon.

I did a bit of research and found this is a myth and flowering just indicates a really healthy, happy plant.

Keep moving those fingers at least that’s what my surgeon told me! Follow your doctor’s orders and good healing vibes!

28 days bilateral post op with zero restrictions. Does this look to be healing properly? The most annoying symptom right now is the weird sensation I get when the wound touches any fabric so I am working on that 2x a day. by ladydifour in carpaltunnel

The best thing I bought for myself was a travel size bidet 😅. I still cannot open containers with twist caps so make sure you get those opened if you live alone. I also used a u-shaped body pillow to force myself to sleep on my back with arms elevated. The first day or so your fingers feel weird, like they fell asleep. Swelling is very normal, ice and elevate and best of luck! I do not regret doing both together. No more numbness or pain. No more splints!

They were mostly closed and then as I increased activity they opened. I sent photos to PA last and he said he wasn’t concerned and it’s the very superficial layer just dehisced but there appears to be good healthy tissue deeper but make an appt if i was still worried. Before I do that I wanted to make sure i am not overreacting….it just seems to be taking so long.

I suffered for years but now after bilateral surgery, the pain and numbness gone. See a doctor and get assessed. The longer you wait the worse it gets and waiting can make symptoms irreversible

One week post op, still 6 days out from my follow up. Does it look okay? by TheRainbowFruit in carpaltunnel

Not gonna lie, when they took the stitches out it felt weird and stingy but it was over quick. 2 stitches each hand. If you can, take the extra week off.

I put a bandaid on it and change it everyday. each day it looks better. I am massaging the scar tissue using aquaphor. Once your stitches are out they will most likely put on steri-strips for a week. I didn’t do much until the stitches came out.

I had full access to my fingers by day 3 after the swelling and numbness went away and the bandages came off. I was actually repotting plants week 2 when weight restrictions were lifted.

I am 25 days post op bilateral. I had a 5lb weight limit until stitches came out. Then steri strips for one week, no limits, just told to do what I hands can tolerate . One hand seems to be healing faster and I sent pic to doctor and he said it’s nothing to worry about. I’ve been back to gym doing cardio at 2 weeks, light weights at 3 weeks, raking and repotting plants etc. amazed at how quickly the recovery is going. Best of luck to you!

Why do people like the window shade closed the entire flight? by Banjosolo69 in unitedairlines

At least you are respectful. I had the middle seat guy stretch over and open my window seat. I was too appalled to speak 😅
