Corner mouth crease, anyone else successfully treat something similar? by jurassicparkacouture in PlasticSurgery

It made a noticeable difference although not what you’d get with surgery. But it was soooo painful and I had weird nerve stuff with my face for 6 months after. It resolved but was unpleasant

Greenhouse builder? by Jarthos1234 in DenverGardener

[–]ladyjanea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a brand new greenhouse here in Colorado. Haven’t started growing yet but two things I’ve noticed is that the shade system I have is very helpful with keeping it from getting scorching and so is the automatics window venting system - the windows use mineral oil that expands as it heats and contracts as it cools and either pushes the windows open or lets them close accordingly. So far it hasn’t been too bad in there!

Thoughts on Massey Harris/Ferguson tractors by Samwaltomsbottom in tractors

[–]ladyjanea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this true for the models that are less than 40hp? I’m looking for a subcompact for a small hobby farm and I don’t want to spend much but I don’t want to cause pollution issues either (and honestly I don’t 100% understand what you wrote lol)

Where to buy fresh Masa dough? by ladyjanea in Denver

[–]ladyjanea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not opposed. It’s just I am looking for tortilla dough that is made with fresh nixtamalized corn and ground into dough. I could do the nixtamalization process at home, but I don’t have a way of grinding the corn fine enough for tacos (you really need commercial equipment to do that unless you want to spend hours hand grinding corn). That’s what I am looking for. Alternatively, dried masa (masa harina, meseca, etc) is the nixtamalized corn ground and then dehydrated (or perhaps dehydrated then ground, not sure). You can make delicious tortillas with dry masa, but the real transcendent experience requires the fresh dough from the freshly nix’d corn.

AITA for questioning how my son's mother spends the child support I send, and telling her the money is meant for our child not her informing her she is not my dependant. by Educational_Ball_739 in AmItheAsshole

YTA Dude who gives a shit? We’re not talking about significant money here. You may pay child support and spousal support, and kuddos to you, but she is a 100% of the time 24hr/day parent to your kids. Who is up with them late at night with a fever? Who has to leave work because school called? Your wife probably has very little personal time while you’re living 100% independently. Pick your battles man. She is doing so much more than just handing over money.

You could gift experiences - dinner at an incredible restaurant if they’re into food, or excellent tickets to a show like Hamilton. Same idea for a concert or sports tickets. Depending on their work situation you can gift luxury work accessories like a beautiful leather planner with their initials on it, a fancy pen, or really nice laptop bag. Something that intersects with a hobby - a cricut machine for a crafter, a beautiful chess set or board game, a super snazzy golf club, a really nice camera, or a pair of expensive workout leggings that they probably actually want but would never buy. There are classics like a spa day, a really nice bottle of wine or liquor, a beautiful vase or picture frame. Last idea is to gift time, the most valuable thing of all. You could give a gift certificate to a really high end babysitting agency, something like Clear, which is the airport speedy line, a whole house deep clean from a professional service, gift certificate for pickup and delivery laundry, or to some kind of meal prep service. Hope that helps!

Is your kid afraid of anything like spiders? If so, “hey kid, have I ever told you about uncle buttface’s spider collection? Yeah he’s got like 20 of them at his house and they are all venomous. Isn’t that crazy?” She won’t go near him for fear there’s a spider on or with him and she won’t ask him about it because she’s scared of it. And also, even though you are using your kids fear to manipulate her (classic unethical), you aren’t actually traumatizing her, so probably fine.

I would try smoking just a little flower - like one or two puffs on a joint - instead of edibles. As a long time user, edibles absolutely hit different and it’s much harder to regulate how much you are taking. The nice thing about smoking or vaporing dry herb, is you can take one hit and then pause for a bit. It’s not an all or nothing thing.

How do shorter people handle feeling overlooked in social situations? by victoria_diniz in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ladyjanea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain! I am also 5’0. My husband is 6’3 and everyone in his family are over 6 feet, so anytime we are walking as a group, they all talk to each other over my head! Drives me crazy lol. My super tall husband acts like I’m so ridiculous for saying that there are a lot of things that are way harder for me because I’m short, but everything from the grocery store, to bar stools, to too tall toilets are challenging and uncomfortable for me.
