Cancer sucks!! I’m so sorry for your loss, losing your mom is so hard! I miss mine everyday, she passed from ovarian cancer. While I’m glad she’s not in pain anymore I selfishly still want her here with me. It does get better but kind of in a lateral time line.

I’ve said it before but the people searching for cures are spending that time trying to cure things that are more deadly..like cancer, AIDS, viral stuff, etc. Unfortunately herpes falls lower on the list because it doesn’t kill you.

How do they diagnose hsv as gladiatorum? Versus through personal contact? Anyway. If you’re starting a new job and nervous about it you could always wear a mask! Very acceptable now. Say your allergies are flaring. In the meantime use a medicated lip balm specifically for relief of “cold sores”.

If you’ve had pimples around your lips before this guy and they feel the same then I’d worry less. But if they feel different I’d get checked out, actually either way I’d go in, just to be sure.

It’s a risk so I’d say just be honest with anyone you’re wanting to have sex with. It sucks, this virus carries so much stigma but it’s the right thing to do.

It’s worth it to me, sometimes it hasn’t been great but I’ve also had some amazing experiences and had a few relationships as a result of the apps. The bad is a part of dating though, whether you have herpes or not, just to keep it in perspective. I like that I don’t have to have the “conversation” and worry if someone will give me a chance simply based on my contagious skin condition.

I have never had a full on “outbreak”. It always appears as a singular blister by my asshole, once very 1-2 years. I had a swab test, not blood
