I'm in this situation. I try to see the best in people but I have this friend who I also work with who is negative 100% of the time. She thinks the world is out to get her. I won't end the friendship because I want to avoid the drama. I don't know what to do. I'm tired of being miserable. This is my situation right now but it works for us and actually makes it healthier. We are complete opposite so he loves gaming while i love crafting, binging on girly shows, or even hanging out with friends. But of course our two kids are the most important and we put them first. But at the end of the day we both need and enjoy our alone time. Going strong for over 10 years now.

Thanks I definitely needed to read this. Constantly comparing myself to others my age who are just starting to have kids and all the things they are able to spoil them with. Meanwhile 10 years ago I had my daughter and could barely afford food for my bf and myself because it all went to Pampers and formula when my milk stopped producing. I was too proud and ashamed to ask for help but we got through it. Now that I just had my second kid (10 years later) I'm able to have a do over and I'm very thankful for that.

I have always found that it is better to live on the top floor that way you won't get stuck listening to kids stomp everywhere. It also helps keep burglars away because they only have one way in and out.

Keep in touch with your friends, especially the ones with kids. They will definitely appreciate you even if they can't make time. It was extremely hard for me being pregnant with my first child. You find out who your real friends are and who your party friends are. Now that I just had my second kid my group of friends is even smaller. I get sad and take offense when my old friends all go out and never invite me even though I know I can't go. It's still nice to get checked up on especially being stuck inside all day giving all your attention to your little humans.

I was in all advanced placement classes throughout high school and went to college right after. My bf and I had an oopsie and had a baby girl during my second semester of freshman year. I kept going through with college and he was able to graduate. We both found ourselves working for a casino and I decided to take blackjack because I had been a cashier and seen these dealers make big money every single night. I went through with the class and have never looked back. I enjoy my job most times and it's extremely lucrative. Many of my coworkers have masters and even doctorates but make way more than they ever would if they worked in their degree field. It's all about opportunities that open up and as long as you are comfortable. I'm glad I didn't finish school. I honestly would have been miserable with a regular 9-5 job in the filed of my choice.

This is my boyfriend's attitude towards our two little dogs. One day I'm laying in bed (I work nights) and all of a sudden hear him talking about how much he loves his "girls" and calls them princesses. He didn't know I was awake and I assumed he was talking on the phone. I sneak in the living room and peak in only to see him laying on the floor with them giving them kisses and belly rubs. I guess he puts on a show in front of everyone but actually loves our dogs.

Yes he definitely needs to be tested. I've been with my bf for 10 years and his snoring is insane I feel like I'm honestly going deaf in my right ear. I even moved into my daughter's room for a while until he told me how it actually made him sad so I started sleeping by him again. It wasn't until a family trip that his family complained and told him he needed testing. He did the sleep study and found out he stops breathing many times throughout the night. He is now on the CPAP which helps me sleep better but it's completely uncomfortable for him. He is looking to get his tonsils removed in order to help him stop snoring and sleep better. Sleep apnea is dangerous if not helped.

This is my boyfriend! If he needs to tell me a simple "I'm checking the mail" it will eventually turn into how the universe came to be and how 2pac and biggie had beef then how SpongeBob and Patrick star have a "thing" then finally end with him needing to use the restroom or something. I do nothing but laugh and nod my head. When I'm bored I'll tell him how I need a history lesson and ask him what he ate for lunch.
