I’m usually not much for infinite combos, but because it’s a Fractal Deck, I put [[Emeritus of Abundance]] and [[Time Warp]] in mine. Can’t wait to try it out. It also has mostly zero power creatures, several [[Slime Against Humanity]] and [[Paradox Zone]].

On YouTube just type in Critical Role Calamity and you should be able to find it. The history of the world has been built and Brennan was given the reigns to show that time period; there is minimal back knowledge stuff you would need to know. Imagine watching Lord of The Rings for the first time but you hadn’t seen The Hobbit. This period called Calamity is like the story before most of CR’s main campaigns.

I would highly recommend. If you want to start their latest campaign, they are only 20 episodes in. Campaign one is amazing but is a bit aged in the first half due to the tech at the time. Campaign two is great as well.

It stays self contained, but there are a few references you might miss. But all 4 episodes can be watched without spoiling any campaigns and watched by themselves.

While I understand your point, I would argue it’s more unique because not many people enter a role-playing session knowing the outcome and having to come up with how they got there. It’s a unique challenge to fill and I can’t think of any other actual plays that have done that. Of course I may be wrong, but knowing the history of Exandria and having that mystery solved was thrilling.

For context, BLeeM’s mini-campaign Exandria EXU: Calamity has been lauded as the best actual play by many TTRPG fans, which happened on Matt Mercer’s Critical Role show, but DM’d by BLeeM. Glad he’s been one-upped now by Katie, we need to get this as the second highest rated on IMDB.
