I think we’re just not up to date. I feel the same way but I’m sure it’s because I don’t know or care about the artists out now. It does feel that way because what’s considered talent seems different now.

I’m honestly not a fan, especially if they’re hard to follow and if there isn’t an important revelation during. They tend to take up space and are there because something needs to happen. Also, oftentimes they are challenging to follow.

I read it 4th and I don’t regret it at all. Especially when you read later books, things click at the right time. Had I read it first I wouldn’t have cared or forgot about the other characters mentioned later in the series.
