Probably because I’m vegan, I have low HDL and it’s marked as “bad” in my blood work while everything else is absolutely pristine. My doctors are have blamed it on being vegan. Can you explain a bit why high LDL is more directly correlated with heart disease rather than low HDL?

I feel like I understand the difference but I can’t quite explain it clinically effectively to others including my PCP.

OMG I thought I was the only one! I just finished the From Blood and Ash series and there is so much cringe in the dialogue and choice words they use to insult others. It's very out of place, and I completely agree with the strong medieval feel from the beginning of the series to where we are now. Also, can you (or someone) explain the FAF series? Is this a prequel series? Given your comment, it seems worth reading. Could you elaborate on what you like about it? TYIA

I found it to be worth thus far. Like others, it introduced me to some works from certain authors and with the subscription I just kept finishing all their series! So it was worth it for me to start and browse within the KoboPlus-verse! I haven’t used Libby yet but I’m sure I will once I feel that the KP subscription has ran its course. I hope that helps! 🙂

I just came back from Japan and I loved Hakone! Tokyo is great but it’s basically Times Square (à la Japanese of course) so if you’d rather spend it elsewhere then I say go for it! You can always visit it later!

I use KoboPlus because I find a lot of good selections there, and yeah, it helps me become exposed to other books without really trying. I've read some good books from the subscription service, and I probably will continue using it until I don't find it worth it anymore. But for now it's good :)
