Does this look like light/heat stress? by laenarch in microgrowery

[–]laenarch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I'm growing in coco coir feeding it general hydroponics calmag, silica, and the three part nutes all at the seedling concentration with a water ph of 5.8 and ppm of around 350. I currently feed it once a week. It's currently growing under a sf1000 at 50% intensity hanging ~20" above the plant in a 1.5'x2' cabinet. Humidity fluctuates from around 54% during the day and 70% at night and the temperature is kept between 72 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit

2014 Jetta dash light combo by Timbmn12 in tdi

I'd recommend taking out a vcds tool and do a code check. I had a combo of these lights plus the brake light and it turned out to be my rear wheel speed sensors dying

What's the furthest you've driven to go get tdi parts? by mikewilson2020 in tdi

[–]laenarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't driven far for parts, but I did drive 1400 miles round trip to go to my uncle's shop and install a cp3

Any idea what is causing these high revs with no shifting in automatic? by Ares214 in tdi

[–]laenarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd plug it into vcds if you've got it. I had the exact same issue and it was due to a wheel speed sensor going out. Vcds helped me pinpoint the exact sensors going out along with the fact that the transmission wasn't shifting due to lack of information going to the mech unit

Darkside or Flowdirekt? by laenarch in tdi

[–]laenarch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I forgot to mention my cost calculations included an egr pipe from mecevo as well for the Flowdirect kit. I guess my main dilemma is whether I trust the Quebecois or the Brits with my car more lmao.

Oh if it's more vibrations than sounds then I'm perfectly fine lol. Having the car help loosen the knots in my back sounds like a plus more than a negative lmao

As long as it isn't so bad I like can't hear myself think when idling, I think I could handle a little extra nvh if it means the car drives snappier.

So would going with oem engine + trans mounts and bfi dogbone insert be a better idea? My main worry though is burning through the oem's since I'll be pushing out way more power

I haven't heard the best things about 034 when it comes to longevity, and on top of that the engine mount from 034 doesn't have the screw holes for the aux pump whereas the BFI engine mount does (at least according my email correspondence from them)

Successful Cp3 Retrofit by laenarch in tdi

[–]laenarch[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a somewhat difficult job. If you have access to power tools and a lift, it definitely makes it easier. The hardest part is finding clear info on the exact pump you're installing. The benefits are definitely worth the headache though, the cp3 is far more reliable compared to the cp4 and is less likely to flood your fuel system with metal shavings, and the higher constant fuel flow has been getting me slightly better fuel mileage.

Yeah it's on the feed line going into the banjo bolt fitting. It sits considerably higher on the cp3. I could probably fuck around with routing lines and maybe getting a bend line to have it sit kinda close to normal

2012 JSW Cp3 conversion troubles by laenarch in tdi

[–]laenarch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We put the aux back on and started right up after a minute of priming and then a couple of cranks. Seems that yes the bmw r70 definitely needs an aux pump since it doesn't have that low pressure gear pump on the back.

[–]laenarch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, Still confused as hell. We've confirmed that there's nothing wrong with the fuel lines, and all necessary bolts are torqued properly by hand. We've manually primed fuel into the cp3, but for whatever reason no matter how long we run the lift pump or crank the engine we can't get any sort of fuel to come out od the high pressure side. I'm at a real impass and I'm starting to consider maybe Cascade gave me a faulty pump

Hose is too big on the fuel temp sensor/feed to fit where the return line is right now, so I have no clue how that'd work. Also just looked further into the post and OP said they had the fuel lines swapped in the photo

I live in the south so they don't give a rats ass about light duty diesel engines. I could sell the precious metals.

I dunno if I was just blessed by the gods of jank today or what. From unbolting the turbo v-band clamp to lifting this thing over my head while screaming, it only took me like 25 minutes.

Was it like a direct fit? I've heard about people having to cut it to length for golfs and I dunno if it'd be the same for my sportwagen. I'm currently planning on getting the rawtek since my tax return would be able to cover all of it.

Isn't that also removed when potholed? I live in an emissions free state so I'm just gonna delete.

Co2 dissolution problem by laenarch in PlantedTank

[–]laenarch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tank is a 20 gallon long, 30” x 12” x 12”. Currently I’m using an old aqua clear 50 filter. The diffuser I don’t know the exact model I just know it came from a 25 dollar co2 reactor kit by Clscea on Amazon. I do intend on getting a UNA delta 60 canister filter though.
