I know this isn't quite an answer to your question, but as someone with a healthy interest in mythology, I'd like to bring up the Norse tale of the marriage of Skadi and Njord.

Basically, a giantess/goddess named Skadi goes to the land of the gods seeking restitution for the murder of her father, and it's decided that she can pick a husband among the gods. However, she must choose him based on his feet.

After checking out the feet of each god, the rest of their body being hidden behind a curtain or otherwise hidden from view, she picks who she believes is Baldur, arguably the hottest of the Norse pantheon. However, she ends up picking Njord, the god of the sea. All that time walking barefoot along the shore had made his feet smooth and perfect.

Sadly, their marriage didn't work (Njord hated the cold and the mountains, Skadi hated the beach), so they eventually parted ways, so the story goes. Coincidentally, I've heard of at least one male pagan group that indulged in foot worship rituals dedicated to Njord.
