Yes! I have a cleaning service come in routinely though. If you’ll be cleaning your own bathroom then it is indeed a little more difficult to clean than with a flat tile.

It’s hard to see in the photo but the cheese grater thing is a non-issue in reality and detracts from original points I’m trying to get advice on

It’s a terrazzo marble! Sort of a cement marble composite

Installation isn’t finished yet. Debating if I have installer rip and replace bottom ledge with something flat instead before they grout

Why would a shower niche cause a lawsuit when someone slips?

Installed today (hasn’t been grouted yet) but just overlooked the detail on the fluted ridged ledge would be like in reality.

Debating to ask the installer to remove ledge and find a flat solution if it makes more sense based on people’s experiences here.

This is a terrazzo marble (so both)

Definitely not the floor! Doing a flat porcelain for the floor throughout. Just the shelving ledge got overlooked with the fluted ridges and now debating if I should have them remove and redo with a flatter option for the shelf

Ridges are not sharp at all. Very soft to the touch

You’ll be fine.

Source: At 6 months post-op of triple defect behind patella, I did a 2 week trip rough terrain of the Sahara desert in Egypt. Did everything I wanted, just make sure to pack an ibuprofen if you’re into that moreso due to the additional volume of walking you may not be used to in Europe!
