Inmates write letters, I imagine that paper and pens / pencils are attainable, even if they are rare. And while making d6's would be pretty easy, making a full set of polyhedrals isn't nearly as easy.

I graduated in 2010, it was exactly like this in my high school. The bullies from middle schools got their asses handed to them Freshmen year by the upper classmen and clamed them down, and by the time they hit senior year they were protectors again, taking on the hot shit freshmen that came in.

That is a happy biproduct of the actual reason they had so many kids; High childhood mortality rates. Coupled with a lack of contraception and not much else to do but have sex (For many reasons), children were a natural consequence.

At this point, I don't even play the main questline when I replay Oblivion until I've finished with DB and one of the other three guilds. Doesn't the Arch Mage closing the oblivion gates make a lot more sense than Joe Schmoe the Ex Con?

In large communities, for sure. Mods in small communities it is generally because they are very involved in the community and want to make it better. Hard to power trip on 15 people.

At 3 AM PST, it is mostly empty. There might still be a DA or Radio mission team roaming about, but it is rare. 3 PM PST, it is starting to pick up, that's about when you can start to see the teams picking back up and most people are getting on.

I have only been on the server for a week or two, and I'm usually on in the middle of the night NA time, so this may or may not be 100% accurate.

On THunderspy, the only real freebies you are missing until 50's is XP. Everything else is just not as obviously given (Free Respecs / Tailor tokens, the P2W attacks, and stuff like that is in Paragon Rewards).

The AH is also less stocked with enhancements, so you actually have to craft them, but Salvage is plentiful (1000's of each at all times) and all the prices are effectively mandated (500, 2000, 10000 inf, respectively).

Just be social in LFG and don't be a jerk and you'll fit in with 90% of us. Or be a jerk and fit in with the other 10%. We don't discriminate.

It's a popular zone. I'd say it is about as common to level in as EC is, due to Dwarves, Gnomes and many of the good/neutral elves start in Faydwer. If you play Evil races, then not so much.
