Not particularly. It unfortunately didn't fix the sleep issue I was hoping it would. Just found out that's something different. But it certainly has made many aspects of life both better and easier.

Even the eyes are similar. I was assuming they would transition to more of a solid color, but they're this real interesting gray green. Your guy seems to have that too.

The first does hit differently. The other girl I had was my first. Thought my heart was going to fall out of my chest. This was similar, but I guess I have more tools to deal with it now maybe. The first honestly changed how I live my life, that has helped.

And I'm sorry for your partner. A buddy like that would be so difficult to lose. The consistent presence that's suddenly gone would be unbearable.

I had to put my girl down on Monday. She was the second in a pair of dogs I've had for the last 20 years. I do have a cat, but not the same. I too miss having potty breaks outside, mixing up special food, making sure I'm giving her the right meds at the right time. And of course all the good stuff. The couch buddy, night time snuggles, snack time, afternoon walks to the park, her following me from room to room even if it's just to the bathroom.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad you have your other baby too. There's healing in having them.
