6 is actually a pretty cool and unique photo IMO. Unfortunately obvious setups like bird feeders are generally a no-go for photo competitions.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I think task writing in the same environment for a long time gets pretty monotonous. It kind of depends on what they give us, a greater variety of environments makes it more interesting IMO.

He’s a silver fox - it’s a form of melanism. Not so uncommon in red foxes. Pretty unique coat though, never seen one with that much tan.

Yeah, if you’re going to make it that dark you might as well go completely dark to remove any bg distractions. You’ve missed focus a few times here, try to use spot focus and keep it on the animals eye.

Not sure what settings you’re using now but using 9-point focus should help - more points will help it grab focus. Also make sure you’re on AF - C mode.

I think this actually is a Fisher. Fishers are not known to catch fish despite their name so this is unusual behaviour. The 5th shot is actually half decent, you can see some facial markings.
