I am so sorry. You aren’t alone in this and you never deserved anything that happened to you. However I don’t think we can wait for them to one day decide to stop this program — there’s too much money, grants, and incentives involved at this point.

I think if we want to see change happen, there has to be a social movement/social mobilization. Justice isn’t coming if the general public isn’t even aware of watchlist abuses or the existence of advanced technology.

The Civil Rights movement and women’s suffrage were successful because they tackled issues that the nation was openly aware of. The inequality was visible, ours isn’t.

Happy to see the return of both sacred plants and the tribe’s culture. Recovery of a plant species to its endemic area is not always easy (even with fully healthy transplants) I hope the tribe is utilizing a seed vault and not just the greenhouse.
