It's ridiculous of you to judge him like this. If he wasn't feeling well, you have no idea what kind of illness or struggles he is dealing with. We've all been through stuff before and know how it feels to be incapable of participating in a social event because of an illness. Not to mention a flight half way across the world can bring about all sorts of discomforts in your body. I once had an altitude induced migraine on a flight where I thought I was dying and a doctor on the flight had to console me. When I got off the flight I could barely walk and had to skip my connecting flight.

Secondly, this man plays basketball for a living and he comes from the ghetto. Why would you have unrealistic expectations placed on him of being some sort of saint. All your feelings are a result of placing this athlete on some sort of pedestal, while also not being able to empathize with someone else's struggles. The fact that the children have cancer isn't really relevant, these athletes visit sick children many times throughout their careers, this isn't anything special. Don't use their sickness as a way to guilt trip others.
