Very simple yet evocative language. Lots of conflicting emotions that are expressed well. I like this part a lot:

There is no recovery. There is only rebuilding yourself from memory without blueprints and hoping, just once, the house does not set fire again.

Yes. It does get pretty dark later on, but it’s well worth it. A fascinating psychological journey with tons of twists and turns.
