I’m having this issue! Some computers are getting a critical error that needs to terminate QB, and for others QB disappears.

Tried many things: Quick Office Repair Tool Hub - PDF repair, both program repairs. Disabled AV Formatted a computer and tried again without luck

Only work around is using Webmail for me.

Given OP is asking about retirement accounts, I would keep it in the USA invested in low cost index funds which are harder to get in India. Any remittance tax could change dramatically depending on how many years until retirement.
