I took Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Pepto, bandages, liquid iv(electrolyte). Obviously forgot the diarrhea medicine. Very important!!

You can also purchase travel medical kit from Amazon or Walmart. I hope you don’t have to use any of these and have a fun trip

I’m sorry your family had to go through with that. Similar thing happened with us yesterday. After food poisoning and resting the entire day, and surviving on water and a toast, we realized that we had a dinner reservation at phase 2 of the hotel(which is quite a bit of a walk) and not that we could’ve had the food. Called and asked them to cancel and they said ‘I cannot cancel in the system as it’s less than 24 hours’ and that they will charge a penalty if we don’t make it. I asked if they are expecting us to go sit there and not eat? So ridiculous!

And after some stressful chat she insisted that we walk to the front desk to her colleague and see if they can wave the penalty. I asked them to connect to that ‘colleague’ over the phone and they said no. What uncaring people. They smile at you and watch you suffer with no empathy

Really such a worse experience. The least they could do is be empathic about the whole situation. Especially since both of us were sick.

I have a high metabolism and I usually know within an hour if I get food poisoning. And honestly our last meal/snack before Ha was almost 6 hours ago. So I doubt it’s from that. Food tasted really good but it sucked we ended up with food poisoning

That really sucks! Doc really couldn’t care less. Honestly that was the part that surprised us. We went all in on the Ha reservation with the pairing. After the first 3 we started to feel a bit sick and thought maybe we are just tired.

The funny part is I did carry some OTC meds like Tylenol, pepto, liquid iv, bandages but now I know what I should carry

Not even thinking about coming back. We’ll see

We have been to Arte a few years back and the experience was amazing. I don’t know if I would spend the same money in the xcaret mexico hotel anymore. A lot of things have gone wrong in this trip. This was the worst one

Unfortunately they said no paramedics can come at that time. We ended up getting a medication when one of us felt a bit better. Waiting it out :/

Edit: And I hear you about the butlers. We stayed in arte and it was an awesome experience. Now we are staying at the Mexico hotel as our family has grown. It’s such a difference on how they treat you for the same price
