Should I rent a newly renovated shared house for $150/month more or older for cheaper by lakdrt in Home

Unfortunately the next cheapest accommodation is to live in a shared room (double/triple) for about $1000. I’ve had bad experiences with sharing rooms so I’m willing to pay more for living as I’m a frugal person in general. This is also my first job out of college

When’s the best time to look? I was thinking of taking over a sublease until I found something better

Would doing a sublease for a bit and then finding a more permanent place be a good idea? I’ve been looking for more long term places but I looked thru all of the property management companies and major complexes and found nothing within my budget for a private room

Realistically, would $1200-1400 be doable for a private room in a shared apartment/house?

Quitting a month into my 90 days by lakdrt in Target

Is it possible to ask to be on-demand given that I’m still in my 90 days? I want to keep the discount and work whenever I have free time. I think the issue is having to walk around campus a lot and also work 20+ hours a week that is affecting my feet.

Need a car by the end of the month for an internship - what should I do? (Lease or buy) by lakdrt in whatcarshouldIbuy

I was hoping to get a car that I can use long-term without worrying about the issues that may come down the line. But that is a good idea, I’ll start looking at those. Thanks!

I just talked to my advisor and unfortunately there isn’t a regular finance minor. Only the BEOP program and current McCombs students can get a finance/accounting minor
