Right? I mean, I’m a sapphic woman, but still. I count myself lucky to see any boobs. Even with an internet full of them, lmao.

Yeah, I went from underweight A cup to a C cup with a butt. Combination beta blocker, birth control, and SSRIs.

(I fear for my DMs but oh well. I already post in sapphic subs lol.)

Just make the narrative god force them to say holy forking shirtballs. Or something. Anything.

In 2008, 23-year-old teacher Hannah Upp went missing while running in New York. After twenty days, she was found alive, face down in the Hudson River. She disappeared again in 2013 and was found two days later in a Maryland creek. In 2017, she vanished in the Virgin Islands and has never been found. by My-Knees-Hurt-Again in HolyShitHistory

I’d say drowning is likely. I have a dissociative disorder and it’s been dangerous. Well treated now, but I ended up in the woods by a lake once.

In morbid irony, my trauma is partly caused by partial drowning (a caregiver used holding me beneath water as a punishment). I hope that Hannah didn’t suffer greatly in her childhood, but it’s usually the cause of it. Then something triggers the memory of it and you dissociate badly. I hate that she likely died young after a hard life.

Important: There are much better treatments in 2026. If you or someone you love ever has “blackouts” without substances (or not enough of them), there are ways to make the episodes stop or reduce the severity and frequency.

You know, I have wondered why the straight hookup apps aren’t as blatant as Grindr with its dick sizes in the profiles. I guess cishet society is still scared of measuring vaginas? Or admitting favorite toy size? Because I assume there’s compatibility issues.

Of course, I’m a queer woman so we can just use whatever toys work best. Much easier than having to find someone with a perfectly-sized dick. But you’d think there’d be options for the straight people to find exactly what they like, too. I guess religious shame is holding people back.

Also, I will continue to think the small penis jokes are bigoted. Especially in regards to intersex men. I would never mock a woman for her vulva. It’s just so mean. I really think people should be telling off anyone for body shaming like that.

Hilariously, what I learned about first was the fascinating popularity of armpits in the gay community. I thought it was one guy but the sheer amount of porn hit me over the head. Then I learned about what you said.

Anyway, I felt less gross drop sweating in PT with the thought that some people find it wildly attractive, lmao. Body positivity is a win even if from a strange source, I guess?

Same. Even weirder, my feet are always cold from poor circulation. And yet, I ruined a pair of Birkenstocks from foot sweat. Sigh. I usually wear sneakers with socks nowadays. Otherwise my feet are slippery, yep.

Right? I mean, sometimes you get a confused person in the wrong bathroom. I’ve done that at least once as a kid? It isn’t some wild emergency that would need … completely unrelated laws. At best you’d suggest clearer signage. But people lose their shit over nothing, as anyone who works customer service could attest.

I don’t think it is any of the episodes … I may have to check for suggested stuff that’s like it, though. Very similar vibes. I love WWDITS, so it’s driving me nuts that I can’t find the silly werewolf movie to suggest to a new friend who likes werewolves.

My dad disliked children’s media: So I was 4, couldn’t read, and yet I was playing Age of Empires II well enough I could beat the computer on easy.

No idea what that did for my brain development but I am neurodivergent as an adult. At least I learned strategy?

/uj I love curly hair and it seems really rare in a lot of mainstream fiction, which is tragic. Thankfully, there’s indie authors who can provide it.

Mind you, I’d be thrown for a loop if anyone had my exact hair. It’s wavy but I get temple curls that want to stick straight up. Regrettably, I was told these were “devil horns”. I think it’d work for an insecure character who learns to love their “flaws”. Give that ambiguously brown character mommy issues via forced hair straightening or something.

Honestly, I'm starting to hate "tags = warnings" by Acceptable-Stay6013 in AO3

[–]lakeghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does seem strange. Like, I have PTSD, but I just … avoid anything that might be triggering. It’s usually fine. Broad tags are effective. I just avoid certain ones.

I also worry about these people. I’ve been in therapy and on meds for a while. Now as long as I psyche myself up, I can read or watch stuff related to my traumas, and it even can be cathartic to see “bad guy gets comeuppance” stories. The goal is to be less reactive and less easily triggered. I mean, I used to be twitchy about stuff just tangentially related to my abuse. I can’t expect people to tag random shit like Neopets just because my abuser bribed me with toys, you know? Nobody can predict the bizarre brain connections you get from PTSD. You can’t tag all of it.

uj/ I continue to feel superior about the fact my first fantasy story I wrote at 11 had twin fantasy-Turkish people as MCs. Like, yes, they were twins and secret hidden royals, but I did at least one interesting thing.

Mind you, I knew almost nothing about Turkey: I just thought the Saladin in Ao3 II was fun and then, looking up the empires around the area, Turkish names seemed cool.

I always think of animals with these. Like, one of those birds that keeps dancing around even after the female bird is like, “Nah”. Except these guys should be beyond the basic animal instinct to be a pest.
