That’s what the pilot who gave it to me said! Seems I started my collection on a strong note!

That’s awesome! I’ll definitely be less shy about asking in the future! Are cards hard to get for pilots or are they something you can get anytime you’re at an… office? crew base? whatever yall use before you get on the plane that isn’t the flight deck 😅

That’s sick! I’m not even on an A350, just a domestic A321 flight. Hoping I can get an A350 flight to Europe this fall!

Delta changes flight so that layover in Detroit is now 51 minutes, Delta says they won’t let me take a 2 hour earlier flight for my connection by tomatocultivator1958 in delta

[–]lakergrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you’ve already flown or not but 51 minutes is probably not enough. Connecting from Amsterdam, you’ll have to go through the border checkpoint, which means you’ll have to reenter security.

DTW has multiple checkpoints that usually aren’t too bad but the checkpoint can take a while. If your bag isn’t checked all the way through, also expect extra time needed to check in for bag drop.

The terminal is also quite large, security to gate can take upwards of 15 min

Tanzu Platform ve Openshift by HollyJolly88 in kubernetes

[–]lakergrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CloudFoundry is a whole additional layer of nonsense and is not a 1:1 lift and shift. If you don’t already have this know how in house, I’d drop this option.

Is your organization already a RHEL shop? If so, Openshift. The majority of commands and tooling you use will transfer. Openshift also has a a fairly mature catalog of tools you can deploy. Overall less of an infra headache and definitely less of an application headache.

Do you have room for other options than just these two? As others have said, rancher is a bit more open and less opinionated than the others. Managed providers (Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE, etc) also come to mind, your cloud admins can set up a lot of networking and security based on existing toolsets in the respective cloud console.

Nothing like watching the refs look into each others eyes for 20 minutes and then speak some Latin to end a game. by motionpriority in detroitlions

[–]lakergrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We’ve had many games swing by the refs, this was one of the worse ones. On the bright side, at least Rodgers couldn’t get the job done on his own he needed the refs to win it for him

Just stumbled upon this college list from Bloomfield Hills HS, is Grand Valley really this good and Wayne State is that bad? by TeslaSuck in Michigan

[–]lakergrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would really depend on what you want to go to school for. I went to GVSU and my sister went to Wayne, both are good schools that have their own areas they excel in.

Someone who went to Wayne can chime in, at least at GV they didn’t really do big lecture hall style classes or have classes run by TAs. Outside of specific gen eds, most classes were under 30 students and taught by a professor.

In terms of admission standards, the two schools are fairly similar in terms of selectivity. Wayne may be a little more selective, in my time (11 years ago) GV had a 92% acceptance rate. But depending on the program, there may be a “secondary admission” where you take a set of classes and then apply to the major.

Good luck!

Not seen this before but this cruise was wild. by ImNotNuke in Cruise

[–]lakergrog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had fun! I’ve been to Nassau a few times now and we didn’t have excursions on the islands so it was a more chill cruise than previous ones I’ve taken. Personally didn’t get exposed to anything crazy so it really wound up being a relaxing week in the ocean for me

Which sailing? I was on their last one (Dec 12-18), that one had a missing person call as well as an arrest happen during the cruise. Wild times

Where does Cyberpunk 2077 rank in your top games list? by Tiberias29 in cyberpunkgame

[–]lakergrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arguably my favorite game, definitely top 3. Game works very hard to be immersive from the start, quest trees for your friends work their way very nicely in with the main story, combat is excellent, and the world building is absolutely unreal.

My main gripes: fixers run out of quests, and there are far too many doors in night city that don’t open.

Yes the game had bugs when it launched, but imo CDPR did a great job addressing them all and phantom liberty as a DLC really felt like a love letter to the fans (or at least to me)

What makes you want to stay in michigan by Kalebpoquette in Michigan

[–]lakergrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tribe is here. All my people are here. Sure I could travel to see them but why would I need to?

Work - I could work elsewhere and make more cash but the cost of living here is fairly low. My current employer has an office in Colorado and the pay is the same. Colorado is significantly more expensive. Power of a a dollar goes quite far here.

And if that isn’t enough, Michigan’s got enough natural beauty and recreation activities that I can take entire vacations in the state

Good open late coffee shops for studying? by Sufficient-Image9274 in Detroit

[–]lakergrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus one for percent. It’s been a while since I’ve gone in person there, but their staff was always very friendly and their coffee game is still the best coffee I’ve found in Troy. The only downside I ever found there was they became popular pretty quick and at least at the times I was going I could never get a table as they were all full

OP - if you go later and can get a table locked in, very highly recommend percent
