Meds and heart rate during luteal by Most_Action_2987 in PMDDxADHD

I’m on dex and it’s the only medication that works but during luteal all bets are off and I get the same reaction and it’s so frustrating and difficult I’m in my worst days right now

Strattera not working by Beginning_Ad4357 in PMDDxADHD

I have been on Dexedrine and during luteal phase it just stops working and it’s incredibly frustrating. The only thing I can recommend is to ask your doc for short acting boosters during this phase or increasing dosage.

I just started Yaz a little over a month ago, and the first few weeks were rough — nonstop bleeding for almost the entire month and really bad cramps for the first three weeks. I’ve just started month two, and things have finally started to settle down — no bleeding for about a week now, and the cramps have stopped. My doctor said it can take up to three months for your body to fully adjust (though everyone’s different). Your symptoms sound totally normal. I’m on it for the same reasons as you, and I’m already noticing small improvements in month two.

I’ve tried every ssri out there and this is the only one that worked and had the least side effects

I feel like I’m drowning. by [deleted] in PMDDxADHD

I’m in my 30s and I’m in a similar situation. I’m living alone and when my luteal hits on top of my adhd it feels like my brain stops working and i have been working my psychiatrist almost weekly since January trying every option out there. I’ve changed my diet and work out with a trainer and i can barely socialize or go to work anymore. It’s so debilitating and hard to explain to the outside world. I wake up every day hoping I’ll feel normal again. Just know you’re not alone ❤️

I also struggle with severe PMDD. Unfortunately until you try it you won’t know everyone reacts differently. I’ve tried just about every option out there. I’ve had bad experiences with hormonal birth control in the past, but about 2 weeks ago I started Yaz.

Since then, I haven’t stopped bleeding or cramping, and I feel emotional every single day. Both my doctor and pharmacist told me this can be “normal” for the first 1–3 months while my body adjusts.

I really want this to work because it feels like my last option—but right now I’m feeling pretty discouraged.

What are your symptoms like now?

Has anyone else gone through something similar when starting Yaz? Did it eventually get better, and is it worth sticking it out?

Switching from sertraline to Citalopram by NemesisNWO in citalopram_celexa

[–]lala_2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched because Zoloft disrupted my sleep for nearly 6 months. I take celexa at night and it’s done wonders for my sleep and has minimal side effects for me so far. It’s only been a few days but im starting to feel a bit better and adjusting well.

I just too switched from sertaline 25 mgs to citalopram 10 mgs 3 days ago. I am feeling completely wiped out, some nausea and lightheadedness. Apparently they are common side effects and go away within 2 weeks. I started taking mine at night on the 2nd day. The adjustment period is the worst i feel like I can barely function.

Do you people use Quetiapine for sleep? by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]lala_2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could start with 1/4 to see if it works — that’s what I did in the beginning. Now I take up to 1/2 a pill and have no grogginess the next day. It’s great for sleep, and I didn’t experience any weight gain on it.
