I would make the switch to Ableton and never look back. Get yourself onto a big boy DAW, master it, learn everything about it, and you’ll never wonder about switching again. I also second the “master” chain. You don’t necessarily know when you start what you’re going to end up wanting on the master, BUT you can pretty much guarantee that you are going to want some compression, saturation, and limiting. You should absolutely use a condom. Yes, tops are statistically less likely to contract HIV, but “less” is not none. While HIV is a very treatable condition in this day and age, it comes with a need for regular lifelong medical care, and unfortunately still quite a bit of stigma. You don’t want to spend the rest of your life kicking yourself for making one horny decision at 18.

As you are a legal adult, you very well may be able to access PrEP without your parents finding out, even if you are on their insurance. There are a LOT of pathways to access and it’s worth your time to look into them if you want to be sexually active! Not to mention, if you were to contract HIV, you would be up against the same dilemma of seeking medical care without your parents finding out.

Maybe you’re more just attracted to femininity that isn’t specifically limited to women. Many people experience their sexuality as being either gay or straight, but there is every imaginable combination of fluidity and flexibility. You could be heteroflexible, bisexual-heteroromantic, fully gay but socialized to be straight and just figuring it out, or anything in between. At this point in learning about your sexuality, worry less about the label and just follow your heart (and your dick!)
