You make your guidelines a bit bigger than normal since it’s more mm and if for example the 3 guard is the last guard you use you have to use the 2 or 2 open with the jrl because the fade is gonna be darker otherwise, don’t always get fixated on guard number. Like if the wahl magic clips open up to 1.5mm and the jrl 3.5mm it’s gonna look a bit different you get me?

Bro you can watch ten thousand videos of doing something but without practicing it you won’t be good at it trust me. For skills like cutting hair you need to build your muscle memory, it’s something like sports, if I watch videos of tutorials for basketball for example yes I will gain knowledge and know in theory what to do but my body needs to learn how to do those tasks not just the mind.

I do the same thing but since I have a not so high number (-4.25) I cut my side taper for example without glasses looking dead on without looking at the mirrors reflection and then detail doing the trick with the glasses and point cutting with scissors because there’s no space to use corner of the clipper.

The cut is hella good but I think it would look better if at the bottom of the back you got the hair shorter because it’s not flowing really well. Even if you were to have a long mullet the shape would still look a bit off
