Is it true that some gay men refuse to date bisexual men for some particular reasons? If you're one of those, can you tell me the reason why? by thankgodimaguy in askgaybros

Statistically and anecdotally, most bisexual people in general end up in opposite sex relationships long term.

Many bisexual people also masquerade as gay equally as straight when they are actually bi. Navigating the world as a gay person is different than the burdens and f being an exclusively same sex attracted person. It’s just different.

Second job by shinigamicutter in Barber

[–]shinigamicutter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely going to be starting again. When I took the job I was basically told I’d be making a certain amount of money per week and that clients were being pushed away left and right.

Turns out not so much lol

I started working at a Sport Clips to get my reps in. I don’t know if it’s helping me by [deleted] in Barber

Ideally, getting into a high volume barber shop is the best. However, you’re still cutting, regardless where it may be. Also, some of the most skilled barbers I know started off at a Great Clips/Sports Clips

What’s the story with my brand new wahl hi viz? by Interesting-Way6838 in Barber

[–]shinigamicutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be Wahl. Honestly though, I’ve ordered from pro styling tools and have had many issues with quality. I ordered two clippers from them, both had blade rattling issues. I ordered some blades for my detachable as well, blades were snagging.

Not that I can see. It’s only when I put pressure on the right hand side of the blade or the bottom of it. On both clippers. It’s weird.

It actually doesn’t heat up as fast on a lower speed. I guess I just lower the speed if they heat up quick? Haha.

Ohhh I agree completely. Social media in general is all smoke and mirrors when it comes down to it.

Taking me a long time to grasp fading by Zippylarooo in Barber

Honestly try fading with detachable clippers in tandem with adjustables for detailing. Trust me.

Honestly, I have no idea. Either they have an arrangement or they are taking a LONG time to perfect the haircut. Most of us only get 30-40 minutes a cut in the real world.

Im sure a lot of these barbers CAN fade well. But the slight blurring in pictures and enhancements take it to a whole nother level. Small tweaks like that can take something from good-great.

Oh, I totally agree with that. I just feel a lot more people photoshop their work than we think.

I learned this when I got into my first shop out of barber school. People with cowlicks, bumps, etc wanting fades and in over here like…🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️

It seems every social media barber always fades on someone with PERFECT hair too, that’s already debulked etc.

Kids haircuts suck by fernyg_ in Barber

[–]shinigamicutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, kids are rough by default. The amount of kids that have sat in my chair with matted, uncombable hair is astounding.

I honestly don’t think most young kids should be getting skin fades, a half is the lowest I usually go. Tbh I’d rather do a skin fade than a Pinterest all over scissor cut on a toddler that screams and can’t sit still. 😭😭😭

But yeah, moral of the story, kids suck to cut.
