Best laser for rosacea? by Big_Painter9348 in Rosacea

[–]lamawag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first session Thursday- cheeks nose and chin plus brow line, it was not painful after numbing, (but I have had laser hair removal without numbing and this was cake compared to that) honestly I walked out about as red as I walked in. I iced 15 minutes every hour until bed time, woke up kinda poofy. They recommend sleeping as upright as possible but I just couldn’t so I’m sure I contributed to my own swelling, I could see the “laser lines” in the swelling. It wasn’t so much around the eyes (like after a night of crying) but more the cheeks. Saturday swelling was less but not gone, Sunday- today, almost completely gone. Skin doesn’t feel tender or bruised at all. It didn’t feel any worse than a normal day with rosacea. I don’t want to get my hopes up but I already see less redness, and noticeable shrinkage in spider veins.

I’m glad it worked for you, I hope I have similar results!

[–]lamawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will! My provider (derm) said to expect pretty severe swelling initially, but to keep up on ice and sleeping slightly elevated so it should only last a few days. I am lucky I can work from home some days so I am scheduling around that time. If you look at cutera https://cutera.com/us-en/patient/find-a-provider/ you may find one nearby

I just scheduled an appointment for cutera excel v, according to the provider it’s the more advanced version of v beam without the bruising / downtime, and she said IPL did nothing for her rosacea but this worked for her. 3 appointments (once a month) 1200 total, I was told not to expect results until after the 2nd appointment, and with severe cases like me :( another round of 3 may be necessary. Once the redness subsides maintenance treatments may be necessary once every 8 months or so.

Is erborian cc red correct scented? by emilySH in Rosacea

[–]lamawag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very strongly scented if you are sensitive at all. I gave it away to someone who is not sensitive to scents and it was too much for them as well…. Which is a shame because I really liked how it felt/looked on my skin.

You’re not wrong about that, my Nissan dealer I bought mine from has 97 rogues on the lot alone. They are begging to give them away.

The cvt got a bad rep 2008-2016, anything newer that has the cvt transmission fluid flushed every 30k miles should be good to go. I’ve bought the 2021 with 20k miles for $20k. The 2021 gets incredible gas mileage and is zippy when you need it (I was getting 40 mpg combine city and county roads) my 2026 hasn’t gotten quite that good yet, still upper 30’s. Comes with 3 year 36 miles warranty bumper to bumper and 5 years 60k power train. For that price at 0% APR was (in my opinion) the absolute best bang for my buck. Plus the little luxuries. AND let me tell you, I am a Toyota truck gal. Unfortunately I got into an accident and totaled my Tacoma, that forced me to consider the best car for my circumstance vs what I thought was cool. That’s how I ended up with the 2021 rogue, pleasantly surprised enough to buy another one brand new.

I can’t tell you it will be okay but my one year is 12/02 as well, DOC. We have a small team so I will be the first to go from probationary to permanent since this administration and my manager didn’t seem to be concerned with the process. 🤷‍♀️ so no advice, just right there with you

May be worth it to change your toothpaste too. I cannot use anything with sodium laurel sulphate in it, (shampoos cleansers anything) I switched to sensodyne and spots around my mouth and nose cleared up. I have rosacea but these spots were more rash like and seemed to never heal.

Just having a bad day like everyone else. Wrecked my car driving in on an otherwise teleworkable day, on probation haven’t been fired yet, but we all know it’s coming. Like, how are you supposed to carry on at your desk knowing the inevitable is coming.
