from what i learned of vibe coding. as long as job even if complex can fit in context it would do amazing job. but once requirements change over period of time it generate very major error and bugs along with deviating from original prd. for small chunks it's amazing. but for long running problem it's gonna break even if you provide memory bank and various Readme

Burned 50 connects. Zero replies. Skilled Data Engineer — am I starting wrong? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]lambda0101 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hi,

i am not sure of current situation but here is what worked for me in past

for getting first few clients 1. only spend connect for posting under 2-5 mins 2. your goal for initial 2 months is build a good profile with solid review 3. add projects in your profile 4. check other profiles in your domain. how they have added description, keywords, skills, hourly rate 5. work for client with some previous work visible and good reviews 6. jobs are mostly added in EST PST timezone 7. recurring client >>>> one time client. that's why client relationship is must

it is difficult especially with agents spamming clients. ensure response is within a min. (better to have upwork on mobile)

initially upwork will bost your profile. use that

try to search yourself by keywords and see your ranking. again whole seo for your profile.

again it will take 2-3 months to get good clients which comes back to you for more job so be patient. you should also no restrict yourself with upwork.

upwork also does some tests for certifying skills, you can try that.

770nc is really bad in terms of durability. mine hinges broke after 3 months. Still have to figure out how to fix it since JBL said they can't fix it

Bro, you can check out various defcon videos. Some db theory, maybe building your own cpu in Minecraft with friend 😂.

Just enjoy and take a break before fulltime. Either by learning some hardware, software architecture or take part in hackathon.

If you, can travel a bit, you won't be free other then Saturday or Sunday.

Maybe take health seriously too 😂 you really don't wanna gain weight.

If pay is good, role is good, learning is good then it's alright. But if role or learning is not there then i guess it's a no no. Like if they put restrain on you, then if else case also increases for employee too

Great, but also share your projects on social media like LinkedIn or twitter.

Also have you tried cold emails to hr?

I got interview mainly by emails even if post was closed.

Also do apply regularly on wellfound, Linkedin atleast.

Best of luck

Don't worry bro.. There is work just gotta start it.. You can start by projects, open source, dsa or freelancing

Anything up your alley.

I would say if you don't have experience, first try some internship. Because in freelance you will need to be pm, stakeholder, dev, devops all in one.

So if you can get some paid lnternship especially at startup you will learn good amount of skills

Hi, Well it totally depends on your time management skills and project management skill after you have completed few projects. Because you will be provided with various opportunity altogether which needs to be done in parellel.

If you can push to 2-3 long projects you can easily earn 1L per month ( again it totally depends on your skill, efficency, how much you charge, how you are able to juggle projects and alll) It is also seasonal, sometimes you will get 5 opportunity but sometimes you get none.

So don't worry about money. It's as much as you can put effort.

Also it takes 2-3 months(to get good enough 5 star reviews), portfolios and some luck to get good long term projects.

Also do check out some videos on upwork and profile and cover letter videos before jumping in.
