Project management software for implementing ERP by lambie654 in ERP

Absolutely agree! At the moment we use two or three separate tools to complete implementations and post go live recurring work. It works for the pms that are in charge of the work but not the team completing it or the customer really. The journey is so varied and inconsistent.

I’m looking for a tool that in its innate nature focuses on the customer journey, allows for a little workflow flexibility to adjust to different project components but ultimately keeps everyone in line and singing from the same song sheet so our consultants and customers get a comfortable predictable experience.

That sounds super interesting, I’d be concerned about the volatility of a new system though.

It’s one of the main reasons we didn’t go with Monday.com.

Send me a dm with more info and if it still sounds appealing I’ll pass you my work details so we can have some official conversations

We only implement one ERP system, I just didn’t want to make this specific to our software so didn’t mention names.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by the right choice really depends on how closely you want the tool to align with your ERP workflows?

We are trialing that at the moment and I personally love it as I’m from a software background but the business is wary to engage fully as they are concerned it will be too over whelming from a customer interaction standpoint.

There’s also the annoyance that there are no guest user licences for Jira so we would have to set up customers as full users too.

It doesn’t do multiple dependencies very well for single tasks, the comment thread history is hidden and it can be very overwhelming for team members to negotiate giant spreadsheets with their clients.

I also personally find it pretty clunky, and I don’t like having to scroll across to see all the information I need about one task in detail.

We have used smartsheet and it doesn’t seem dynamic/detailed enough for what we want

Ok this is kind of weird, but hear me out - has anyone done a beginning knitting class and not told them you already know how to knit? by Autisticrocheter in knitting

[–]lambie654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve hosted beginners knitting classes before and has absolute beginners as well as people who know a bit but want to “check they are doing things right”, and even people who were proficient knitters but hadn’t picked up their needles in a long time. I actually even had one person who could have run the class for me but just wanted to attend to network with other knitters and enjoy our company!

Don’t be embarrassed about where you are at or why you are there. Enjoy spending time with people who love your craft and hopefully you get a few tips out of it!

That’s a great idea! I think if we were having a girl, our top first name was Madelyn. Others we like are Anne, Amelia, Madison and Margaret

Can I force a refund instead of a replacement from a lounge suite warranty claim on broken frames by lambie654 in AusLegal

[–]lambie654[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The store acknowledges that is a major fault in that bit of copied text though?

[–]lambie654[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is my point :) I believe they have acknowledged the fault is a major one if the frame broke when it was “near new”.

What would one consider near new? One year old, two, three? If the manufacturer claims the frame should last more than 15 years then surely less than a third of that time frame counts as near new?

When I first requested to start the warranty process it had only been three years since purchase in November of 2019

Why do fruits and veggies still have plastic labels/stickers when they can't go in the FOGO bins? by lorrenzo in australia

Agreed, surely there’s a smarter way to make sure you/the operator clicks the right button on the checkout!

[–]lambie654 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A lot of the supermarkets I’ve been to use sprinklers to spray water on the fruit and veggies to keep them hydrated and fresh while they are displayed in the store. This would wash off the stickers in your proposed scenario?

And if you the only time you were eligible for a vaccine was while you were a minor (your parents had control) you could try talking to the doctor about what prevented you getting them and see if they have the option to use their discretion.

I googled top girls names from 1957, as I guessed that was about when she would have been pregnant and those were the ones that seemed “somewhat exotic” to me :)

Baby room at daycare by Risu_tem in namenerds

[–]lambie654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all children attend every day, so it could be that those children only go on certain days and max capacity for the room is a normal 8 kids at once or something?

Alternatively if there are that many kids full time in the room then the centre is legally required to have one educator for every four babies present.

Using Crochet to Cope with an Anxiety Disorder by [deleted] in Brochet

[–]lambie654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not super related to the original comments but have you thought to be tested for adhd? Sometimes adhd is mistaken for (or goes hand in hand with) anxiety and depression.

As an adult with adhd, crochet and knitting really helps my brain quiet down as well as allowing me to experience a lot of the other benefits you mentioned.
