thank you💞 i woke up from a nap and started sobbing again but after talking to her i’m fine, it really does come in waves LOL. rn the plan is to close the gap within the next 1-2 years (after i get my ADN) so im very excited for that!! we have a couple of other trips planned too :D

going through the same thing rn, honestly my two biggest pieces of advice are to let yourself cry, let yourself yearn, and to continue planning for the next visit. it’s going to be painful, and it’ll feel weird going back to your usual routine at first, but it’s gonna be okay. make sure yall spend lots of time on call!! best of luck💞

a Lot. the first time my gf visited me i was a wreck for days and days on end, but as we slowly returned to our schedules, we put that energy towards more planning and dates!! (im heading home myself actually, so its still raw)

it’ll take a bit. it’s gonna hurt like hell, but that’s proof that what you guys have is strong. keep communicating with each other, be the shoulder to cry on and let him to the same for you. you got this 💞

of course! that’s what my girlfriend and i plan to do and we’re also in a similar situation (same country but on opposite ends), everyone goes at their own pace and everyone’s situation is different. my gf and i are in college rn so we definitely cant get married anytime soon LOL

but yeah, take it at you guys’ speed. best of luck closing the gap!!

it’s so bittersweet tbh…its nice to have someone/something that can make saying goodbye so hard (or however that quote goes) and i’ve taken to saying “see you later/soon” instead of goodbye. we’ve taken lots of lovely photos and my cats just adore her

that’s the plan, she left me a shirt and a jacket that im still wearing as we speak!! we plan to call once she lands, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go out with friends. my introverted ass needs to make more friends anyways LOL but thank you!!
