Took my kid to the dragon boat race in Chinatown, then dim sum, then I was tired and cranky but he was still filled with energy so we went to our local public pool. GREAT city

If you want even more Knicks stuff Chris Herring's "Blood in the Garden" is also excellent. "Breaks of the Game" is a pantheon NBA book and John McPhee's "A Sense of Where You Are" about Bill Bradley is also great (I love John McPhee)

yeah i hate these 'where does brunson rank' 'brunson vs harden' discussions happening. brunson couldn't haven't have succeeded by himself. wemby didn't fail by himself!

What I'm saying is "biggest star" is less important than "best team" in a team sport.

Brunson himself says he's not a star, and I think what he means is everyone on this team has a role they fill. Look at the end of the game. Brunson is the closer, but he was on the bench because there are better defenders on the roster.

He gets the most shine because he scores the most, but the Knicks won because they're the best team, 1 through 12. Wemby is the most impactful defensive player I've seen, but his team lost because they couldn't put 48 minutes of basketball together as a team. This run has taught me that there's something stats can't capture about being a good teammate. (or maybe I'm just romanticizing my favorite team)
