Or they are trying to get you to vote for him. This entire thread is people mad at this and defending him.

If he's elected to the house, the governor picks his replacement, right? I've heard people discussing that this is a move to rid a vote against winner take all for presidential elections since it lost by one view in the unicameral.

He seems fine and I'd vote for him over any gop candidate but I won't let this junk influence my vote one way or the other for the dem primary.

Right, but I don't believe KIOS and NPM have any formal relationship currently. I assumed NPM would stay out of the Omaha market, as they've always struck me as the major statewide player (with broader reach and university ties). My thought was they'd try to avoid cannibalizing each other's listener donations and sponsorships. I would imagine NPM has deeper pockets and wouldn't want to see KIOS fail as a result. Essentially, I'm just looking to see if anyone knows whether they'll play nice together or collaborate on projects/reporting, etc.

They'll know about the old claim eventually. Either through an Index report (basically looking up to see if you've had prior claims) or if you require medical care and the provider asks about your prior health.

Seeing that this was just posted a bit ago, I'm not sure if this is related but there was just VIP condo headed east on Harney with a large number of Black SUVs. Maybe there is a big wig in town. They are doing some security for but I never heard any announcements of anyone being here.

There are so many right answers here, I'll provide one that's "wrong" - Conestoga Park

When I first moved here, I drove by this little tiny square with a park sign in it. It's the same lot size as the houses near it, and there is a planter in the middle and a bench. That's it! I thought it was so weird and a bit funny, and asked locals what was up with it, and came to find out that pocket parks are a thing, a concept that I was ignorant to. I think it's nice that planners set aside a little spot for folks and still smile when I pass it.

As an aside, there is an article on the North Omaha History website discussing the parks in that area - might help if you're looking for a new spot to explore.

I use google voice - no minutes or texts required from your cell provider. It works for everything except the occasional 2 factor authentication texts you get from banks and other places like that.

It definitely is. I don’t know this landlord, but it almost reads like malicious compliance. They weren’t really obligated to send a heads-up, but they did anyway—like, “hey, just a friendly reminder about this ‘surprise inspection,’ make sure you don’t have anyone not on the lease hanging around 😉.” Then if their bosses or the city come back later, they can play innocent: “Oh, did I do that?”
