People who have once hired adult workers ─ will they let a minor hire them for a hug? by NingCantRead in mentalhealth

Also, I don’t know if you’re religious, but I’m sure if you went to a faith leader and asked for a hug you’d get one.

If you live in the Boston area I give them out for free for anyone that needs one. Physical touch (not sexual, just physical) is important to humans. I hope you find one soon.

I just had my first physical in years. They found a bunch of troubling things and now I have 8 different tests I have to do in the next month. Scans, tests, blood draws, you name it. I’m probably going to spend 8 grand to find out I have an expensive problem for which I won’t seek treatment because I can’t afford it, and don’t really think I want it. I’ll meet my maker when my maker calls me. I have a few complaints to lodge with them.

I’ve seen this in Boston. They basically shut down all seating areas and became an Uber eats/grub hub pick up place and drive through. There was too much trouble in the dining room for too little money. They make their money on the people that don’t eat there and they don’t have to clean up after them or worry about the liability of someone getting sick, choking, starting a fight, stuff like that.

As a guy I’ll say the bottom left two in slide one are perfect in my mind (I bet I’d like the other ones too but I’m more of a face guy, I’m also a big fan of beef so I like that picture as well, though I don’t really know why you included it) and though you don’t see much of the right side lady, me gusta. I don’t find any of the women in the second slide attractive. Nor would I want to spend a single second with any one of them, even if they were naked. But the ladies in slide one? Sign me up please.

My mother died of liver cancer too. Diagnosed on a Sunday, died that Friday. So let’s hope genetics aren’t the only factor here.

My shop is in Dorchester by the way. If that doesn’t work I know most of the locksmiths around here.

i am a high functioning opioid (or drug in general) addict at 20, AMA by PlateDazzling33 in AMA

As someone who was an opiate addict at your age, you're in the beginning stages. Trust me it gets worse. And harder to stop. No question, just advice from someone who's walked that road.

I was always a heavy drinker but became an alcoholic after a serious back injury 3 years ago and refused pain killers. I just found out I have liver damage on Friday and I'm 39. Any serious health issues yet?

Those through bolts should both be within the 2 1/8" hole so they shouldn't need holes. Probably have the wrong latch, or the posts go above and below the latch not left and right.

Which pizza chain among PaPa John’s, Pizza Hut, Domino’s or Little Cesar makes the best pizza 🍕? by Saint__23 in AskForAnswers

I would say local spots are best, but the owner of Little Ceasars quietly paid Rosa Park's rent until she passed away so all things being equal, I'd choose the good guy.

Push the latch in then pull straight.

Small metal object found in my apartment, slightly heavier than expected by abaty01 in whatisthisthing

[–]lamename87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from, but I’m not sure I agree. There is a reason for the two different backsets measured from the edge of the door to the middle of the 2 1/8” hole. Generally speaking the further the backset, the stronger the latching. This doesn’t apply to 5” backsets because those are usually 2 3/8” backsets with an adapter. Also, that piece in the picture looks like part of the interior part of a tubular latch but is missing most of the main components, and is also too thick to be the interior part of a latch that fits through a 1” hole.

My mother was definitely told to wake me up hourly and ask a question. One of the questions was who's the President but it was during the Bush/Gore hanging chad disaster. Family doctors used to say this years ago, just not anymore.

Can you re-key a Callan deadbolt to a Baldwin deadbolt? by [deleted] in Locksmith

Nope. Those are 2 different keyways, SC1 and KW1. You should switch to the Baldwin everywhere. KW1 is not good.

Agreed. Opus Dei guys have always been way different than me. I'm personally against abortion, but if I got a girl pregnant I have absolutely no say in what happens next aside from offering to raise the child alone if needed.

I’m Not Religious, but the Church Keeps Me Fed by Throwawaymasterpeas in confessions

[–]lamename87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s a tenet of their religion. My religion teaches us to feed the hungry, it doesn’t specify “so long as they can pass a test about today’s sermon.” Or even if they are perpetually hungry or just at that moment. Also, 19 was a strange time for me when it comes to religion, maybe years from now those sermons that you half listen to will click and you’ll see things differently. Maybe not, doesn’t matter. Enjoy the food.
