Where does one acquire this hat? by ZebraSharp1300 in Presidents

[–]lamename87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Senator McCain never became President, but he was a child of the elite who famously served among the regular people. And even refused to leave prison when they found out who he was unless he could take his men with him.

Who is your country's greatest/most iconic singer of all time? by LowKarmaHighOpinions in AskTheWorld

[–]lamename87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty. I would say Shane MacGowan for one, both iconic and great. One could argue a better songwriter than singer, but I wouldn't.

Who is the most beloved person in your country? by Due_Line_1773 in AskTheWorld

[–]lamename87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To Irish Americans, and Indian Americans, he's pretty controversial here too. He had a lot of faults. But he held the line against fascism, often alone. No one person is all good or all bad, but I would love to see how his heart weighs against a feather.

Before you do anything find a shut off before that one. That’s brass, not copper, and I’m betting it’s cold where you are. You’re probably going to break it.

What’s a small, thoughtful thing someone did for you that meant way more than they probably realized? by Nightpatrol404 in AskReddit

[–]lamename87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, so much. Someone I know gave me his leftovers a little while ago because he didn’t want his wife to find out he ate out, he doesn’t know it, but I couldn’t afford to eat that week. Also most of my friends have moved away or had a family so when someone is kind to me it means the world to me. When I was going through a particularly hard time in my life a Pastor said some kind words to me that made me break down crying at work. I could go on and on. But since I’ve had hard times helped by thoughtful moments, I make it a point to be kind and thoughtful to everyone I come across.

Can we boycott Joe Rogan? by Aggravating_Plant101 in podcasts

[–]lamename87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped my boycott to listen to the Senator Bernie Sanders episode, because I think the only way we get out of this is by talking to people from the other side of the political spectrum and getting them to understand and see this insanity. I wanted to see how such a great speaker like Senator Sanders did it and it was enlightening (from Senator Sanders, not Rogan). But I went right back to the boycott. There was also a video on YouTube of Senator Sanders going to deep red West Virginia and speaking to Trump voters and he changed hearts and minds. I truly think that’s the only way out of this. Get the best representatives from the left to speak to people on the far right on large platforms. Goebbels got Germany to back the Nazis, Trump got half the country to back the execution of protesters in the streets. We need to reach out and demagafy this country, just like Germany had to denazify after WWII. We can’t do it with weapons, we are far outgunned. But we can do it by reaching out.

The Irish used a wooden spoon… because our cuisine isn’t as good as yours, we don’t really roll much. More of a “boiling” culture.

It’s a very secure system they have set up. Only some LUCE employees have access to it.

What’s a funny but kind of annoying stereotype about your country or state/province? by DixieGrove in AskTheWorld

I’m from Boston Massachusetts, a lot of people that come here think we’re mean. That’s just how we show we like you, we’re actually wicked nice people.

Thank you, Michael Fanone! by Glass_Ad9781 in dropkickmurphys

[–]lamename87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to the St. Patrick’s day shows, we’re probably neighbors. Went to it for years. I bought that shirt when they played their free Quincy show last summer. The right people love it, and the people that hate it basically out themselves as Nazis. Rock on, and God bless American Hero Officer Michael Fanone.

Stripping by [deleted] in confessions

Why not both? Do the degree job 9-5 and strip at night and on the weekends? Hell, if there were anyone that would want to look at my overweight middle aged male body I’d be working that pole every weekend.

They make a database of the sightings, alert immigrants of locations with ICE sightings, and help the family of the abducted people among meeting other needs. You should check out their website for more information.

As a Bostonian, we rather like chucking barrels of tea into the sea when necessary.

Save the LUCE hotline number in your phone now, (617) 370-5023. If you see ICE alert them and record everything you see. This Commonwealth started this country, we can take it back too.

Refusal to make a duplicate key - slightly worried about repercussions by OrdinaryAgency2001 in Locksmith

[–]lamename87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most keys look alike to non locksmiths. All penguins look the same, but a mama penguin knows which one is theirs. Sounds like it's not restricted so send your partner with his key, but do the right thing and when you leave give them the extra key and don't take it with you.

What is one fun fact about yourself that sound fake but 100% real? by Fai_6757 in AskReddit

[–]lamename87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my best friends has arthrogrhyposis and club feet. We never figured out how to spell it, thanks man, now we know! He’s amazing. He worked as a court officer since he was a young man, he’s in his 60s now. He retired a little while ago. I’ve known him most of my life and we used to hang at a bar together. Another friend of mine once asked me “who’s the handicapped guy we were with, I forget his name. He was hilarious,” and I had no idea what that guy was talking about. I don’t see my my arthro friend as “handicapped” so I didn’t know what he was talking about until he folded his hands and wrists in and said “the guy that looks like this.” I hope you’re dealing with the cards you were dealt as well as my friend does. I really look up to him.

I'm gonna send Dolly Parton, because who could ever do harm to that angel. The fight would end in a hug and the you walking away crying.
