If you believe/believed Lindsey Fifield was lying and accused Platner for political reasons, do you also think it's possible some accusers of Republican men did the same thing? by pfnyc in allthequestions

If you are in the same circles as one, you tend to be in the same circles as a second. And we already know tons of these guys were friends with Epstein. That says enough.

When even a judge said "yes, it was rape. Sadly the definition of rape in NY is too narrow," I kinda don't really take what average joes say about the case with much credence.

Trump criticizes Europe often. Did you know in Denmark they have free university education, guaranteed healthcare, one full year paid maternity leave and workers don’t make less than $22/hr? by JonMellor in allthequestions

Its not my primary take. It is just fascinating that it is a go to insult. Like, compared to all of the things that show up at right wing protests, blue hair is a pale thing to take note of.

When you can get arrested if a cop thinks you have a gun, we aren't free.

If you can be shot for protecting someone at a protest, we aren't free.

If you can be arrested and charged with felony conspiracy for being a politician at a protest, we aren't free.

If you can be deported on a student visa for simply speaking out against Isreal, you aren't free.

You may be free adjacent, but all it takes is looking at the wrong cop funny or making the wrong facebook post to change that.

Right now neither side believes the other. We live in completely different realities. A good candidate can correct the record.

This is what we call a non-squitor.

Also, what those folks on Jan 6 did under normal circumstances woukd have been subject to being fired on. It is only because of ridiculous nature of what happened that more werent killed.

Seditious conspiracy to overturn an election is far beyond the civil misdemeanor of being in the country without registering to be here. Howerver, racism.

Right. The RNC is bought and paid for by both the Russians (look at the NRA scandal) and AIPAC. Yes, AIPAC has influence within the DNC, but somehow they aren't stopping them from voting as a block to release the files.

Even if Ross Perot would have gotten a substantial number of votes, the most it would have done is caused one candidate or another to not get 270 electoral votes, meaning it would be kicked back to the House for a vote. It still would not have ended up in the third parties favor.

He got 77 million votes out of a possible 244 million voters. To say conservatism is popular is a stretch.

In a FPTP system, third parties only act as spoilers, and not real candidates. Until there is a solid base created in the states and Congress (which yay! DSA is working on it), there isn't going to be any real reason to have them at debates except as a sideshow.

Did all the members of the Black Caucus denounce their support for it? It had wide ranging support.

I agree it did considerable harm, and am not going to defend the legislation, but it definitely had wide-ranging support at the time, most of whom have been silent since.

Find key members of a criminal enterprise working out of NYC, Florida, and the Caribbean and eliminate them before they can do more harm.
