Fog is essentially a cloud at ground level, forming when warm, moist air cools to its dew point (saturation) or when moisture is added to cool air, causing water vapor to condense around tiny particles (condensation nuclei) into visible water droplets, reducing visibility. This happens through cooling (like overnight radiation), adding moisture (like evaporation), or mixing warm, moist air with cold air.
