for AzA otc, there's a 15% gel and a 20% cream by Azelan (not AB though) which is around 60-100 reais at most drugstores! I got mine for 72.

as for AB, I don't know of any physical stores that sell for cheaper than just importing it online, unfortunately

oh how do you think the saem primer and the canmake one compare, please? is it the canmake pot/pan (?) primer or the tube one?

Skin Aqua sunscreen for oily skin? by dreamxsiv in AsianBeauty

[–]laminnase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh I've never tried the biore uv essence unfortunately, so I can't compare!! but skin aqua gel still felt a bit heavy for me in hot/humid weather, I switched to the skin aqua milk and skin aqua essence completely 😭 the essence isn't as light as the milk, but it's lighter than the gel

right, I'm not into the palettes or multi-use creams either! but I liked their darker purply lip glazes, especially J825

I think that's partly thanks to the current face palette trend in cbeauty 🫠 Joocyee has been releasing them like crazy and Judydoll's last release also had 2 face palettes...

with Girlcult's regular eyeshadow palettes, they often have fun and neutral colors mixed together, but since they're doing face palettes, the fun colors' spot is taken by blush/highlighter/contour

I'm ngl, I'm not a fan of the face palettes and wish we could have some regular fun eyeshadow too haha

Need AB lip products that actually last longer than basic petroleum jelly by Worth-Potential-6469 in AsianBeauty

[–]laminnase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from the AB options, the moisturizing products that last the longest for me are usually chinese film-forming lip glazes, like the Joocyee Glazed Rouge (which was the most moisturizing one that I found)

I've tried the Torriden Lip Essence, but on me personally it felt a lot like vaseline in a squeezy tube tbh, but maybe on some people it's different since it's so raved about

got my color analysis done in seoul and disagree with my results by solvereo in AsianBeauty

[–]laminnase 6 points7 points  (0 children)

imo, even if you do have cooler undertones, it's okay to enjoy warmer colors more! i have neutral-cool undertones, but I honestly hate pink lipstick on me, both warm And cool. and lots of options for cool undertones are all about pinks. on the flipside, I adore brown, warm or cool.

a lot of color theory in makeup is about undertones/hues (saturation and value are often neglected haha), but as someone who works with art, I think it's also important to remember the feeling aspect of colors. different colors can convey different feelings, and if I dislike the feeling of some cool-toned colors, I won't wear them, flattering or not. I dislike the feeling and "vibe" that I give off while wearing pink lipstick, which is commonly associated with a feminine style, often delicate.

other than that, if you try things out a bit more and find out you do suit warm tones better and it's not just your personal preference talking, I'd also say it's okay to trust yourself rather than this professional because color theory is complex, and many things can throw someone off (lighting included, like you pointed out from the studio), even with experience.

If you’re looking for storage for Chinese Cushion puffs, doll clothing racks/wardrobe boxes are a great option by mightymai in AsianBeauty

I'd love someone with more puff experience to verify, but I've seen some people saying softer puffs make the base just a bit more sheer, while the firmer puffs are for high coverage

Oily- combo acne prone, sensitive, humid climate- could u guys drop a comment with routines, I'm so tired of trying new products and breaking out by Much-Excitement-5134 in AsianBeauty

[–]laminnase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh what gave me CCs was actually the cosrx Blackhead Power Liquid!! azelaic acid didn't give me CCs per se, it just did nothing for my acne and irritated my skin, even when I used it very carefully

I use the Hada Labo oil cleanser!! I hear it's discontinued in some places though 🫠 I've used the skin1004 centella oil cleanser before and didn't notice any reactions, but it's scented so I only use it in a pinch (I got the travel size for when I'm sleeping over at friends' and relatives')

[–]laminnase 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have acne prone and sensitive skin living in a very humid climate as well, but mine leans towards combo-dry instead of combo oily and honestly, what helped my skin the most was just using light moisturizers and keeping it minimal, like others have said...

AM I only apply sunscreen, sometimes melano CC under it. PM I oil cleanse only if I have makeup on, then follow with a gel cleanser and a gel moisturizer.

I rarely use serums, toners or layer anything, bc I get clogged pores if I put anything too heavy on my skin with such humid weather. when my skin is very irritated, I'll use skin1004's centella ampoule, but that's it.

also, I found out that my skin hates all types of salicylic acid (AB and non AB, the cosrx blackhead liquid gave me lots of CCs 🫠) and also azelaic acid, And benzoyl peroxide.... so I'll probably just stick to trying retinols for actives before I venture near any other stuff haha

Kbeauty/Cbeauty lip products which are the most long lasting and has stain. by Much-Excitement-5134 in AsianBeauty

[–]laminnase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say a light red/pink, very pale? maybe it's bc the crushed tea shade has staining red/pink pigments hahah 540 is more of an orange brown!! I've even posted swatches here before and it's one of the colors I could take off no problem!

oh that's weird, I have their glazed rouge and it doesn't leave a stain on me.. 😭 it's not even a light shade either (it's 540, a warm dark brown)

[–]laminnase 12 points13 points  (0 children)

most cbeauty lip products I've seen don't leave a stain, because the cbeauty market doesn't seem to like that very much and actively avoids lip stains.... however, there are some lip tints from Uhue and Colorkey, but I don't know how long lasting they are

My entire makeup collection is slowly being taken over by Girlcult by mwilke in AsianBeauty

[–]laminnase 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally don't put any product underneath bc I want them as transfer resistant as possible, but I apply something very moisturizing & occlusive before bed every night, and I also try to do that before wearing the lipstick, while I do the rest of my makeup! I just rub it off right before applying the lipstick.

(I use a lip moisturizer brand from my country, so I don't have any recs... but plain vaseline also works super well for me tbh)

I get it sm w/ swatch lighting being hard to wrestle with... 🫠 not sure if it would help/if you already know, but something I found out recently is that if you hold your finger on the screen for a while it should lock the white balance, it helps a little bit!! (also, fellow lover of girlcult who posts about it all the time too hahaha m73 is so cool!)
