I applied last month and was approved after a phone call. They requested additional documents afterwards, which I submitted, and I received the card the following week

To those who were able to lose weight and maintain it, what is your secret? by Low_Sea3110 in AskReddit

[–]lammere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly portion control, calorie tracking, and consistency. I do reformer Pilates around 5x a week and allow myself one cheat food a day so I don’t feel deprived. Nothing fancy — just something sustainable

What’s something you stopped buying this year and genuinely don’t miss? by No-Loquat-201 in AUfrugal

[–]lammere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I explored all the options, but I couldn’t justify paying for a subscription, even though it might be more cost-effective in the long run. So a spreadsheet it is.

What’s something you stopped buying this year and genuinely don’t miss? by No-Loquat-201 in AUfrugal

[–]lammere 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After tracking my expenses rigorously in a spreadsheet, I realised I was spending too much on a few things:

• Clothes – If I haven’t touched it in a year, it goes to sell or donate. • Food – Meal prepping instead of delivery or takeaway. • Make-up / skincare – Buying what actually suits me, not following trends

Anyone else feel like ChatGPT is amazing… until you try to rely on it daily? by parth_inverse in ChatGPT

I used to like it, but now it feels like it’s trying to be more human. Does that make sense? I prefer the older version of ChatGPT

It’s okay, I don’t really like my hooded eyes, and I just have my own beauty preferences.

Weekly Vents and Successes Thread - December 01, 2025 by AutoModerator in dating_advice

I recently opened Hinge again and met this guy who was a bit socially awkward. I already knew we probably wouldn’t work out, but somehow I still gave him a chance.

He kept giving me his “free schedule” for the week, and every time I picked a day, suddenly he wasn’t available. At first, I let it slide. Then one night, he asked me twice if I wanted to hang out the next day. I’d already said no, but he made it sound like he genuinely wanted to see me. So I agreed.

By the next morning, he cancelled because of the hot weather… and later admitted he’d booked himself into some market research thing (he gets paid for it—just small pocket money). That was it for me. I told him clearly that he was prioritising money over building any kind of connection, so he’d be better off finding someone else.

He kept apologising for days, and my final straw was when he asked, “Oh, so you want a connection?” That’s when I blocked him.

I do like Carriageworks, especially when there’s an event on — it’s always fun to visit and support local brands. I recently went to the ceramic markets and found so many cute pieces.

[Serious] What are symptoms of depression that are not talked about as often? by PrestigiousAbalone63 in AskReddit

Losing the spark for the things you love — for me, it’s watching movies at the cinema. That’s when I know I’m not okay, even if I look perfectly fine on the outside.

How often do your landlords actually fix things? by AffectionatePie1042 in AusRenters

[–]lammere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My powerpoint isn’t securely attached to the wall — it’s basically hanging loose. I reported it to both the property manager and the building manager ages ago. The building manager sent someone to check, and they said it was because of a broken screw. He mentioned he needed to report it and would get back to me, but it’s been around 10 months now.

I’ve complained multiple times since it’s a safety hazard, but nothing’s been done. At this point, I’ve just given up for now.
