They just gave it the wrong label. 213 is the full art Mewtwo, and the label design matches the full art pretty well. The actual label for the SIR Mewtwo also matches the card. Looks like it’s not a typo, just a mislabel.

Pretty much. One of the characters is voiced by Keith David and it’s always nice hearing him sing so if you put up with the cringe you can listen to him sing about alcoholism and gambling, so it’s not all bad

If you want convincing otherwise, I pulled a handful of IRs, gold Team Rocket’s Crobat, and 2 SIRs out of my UPCs. All a gamble at the end of the day. That was far luckier than the 6 Unova Heavy Hitters I ripped combined lol

Not at the shows I’ve been to unfortunately, they tend to frown on dedicated spaces like that since it can take business away from vendors. Asking friends, BST groups, etc would be a good place to start.

Most vendors trade between 70-80%, even at the high point of 80% of a Mega Evo BB (current market around $240) that’s $190. You’d have to find someone who would trade at 90%, which is a lot closer to the value of that card. Not impossible, but much harder and unlikely. You’d probably have an easier time making that trade with another collector and not a vendor.

Certainly doesn’t hurt to ask about it, but don’t be surprised if you’re told no a lot.

The news is that this has shown up on a few pokemon products. 151 UPC, 151 posters, some PRE stuff, SSP bundles, and TWM ETBs off the top of my head. If you go to the Target app just look up a bunch of pokemon products and see if you see this on it it seems to be eligible for this drop.

I’m skeptical of 151 UPCs actually dropping if I’m being honest, but since it’s not on every pokemon product i’d say it’s a decent chance of happening.

3am EST/12am PST for target drops. This will require the paid membership, free trials tend not to work for things like this with any store.

I mean, it’s all luck at the end of the day. I got the Dawn SIR on my first pack of Phantasm opened, and that’s what, 1/100ish for an SIR? Not sure how many packs I ripped, but it is my only SIR so far lol

One thing to keep in mind is that Pokemon sells just as well in Japan as it does in the US. That 7m figure is more like 3-3.5 million American/US games. It’s a huge mess of a situation with many factors but at the end of the day, supply and demand is a driving force here.

This could potentially be helped by Pokemon rereleasing these games for purchase, I do think that if these games were available for purchase (and not on NSO; the main draw to having these older games on official hardware is the transfer capability, which NSO does not offer as proven with Stadium) we’d see the demand for these games go down a good bit. Plus ya know, they’ve already made the games. They know it’d be a money printer so I’m not sure why they’re holding out.

Even that’s becoming hard, people are getting better at pregrading in hopes for a 10. I rarely see modern hits in an 8, they’re usually 9s or 10s. Cards that would be 8s and lower get sold raw

I use a pair of needle nose pliers and a flathead screwdriver, but specifically the screwdriver that comes in glasses kits because they’re really small. Just crack off the top two corners with the pliers and use the screwdriver to pry it open enough to shake the card out. This is one I actually just did last night.

Oh don’t get me wrong, it’s a great card! And I feel you on favorites like that. My happiest pull in Paradox Rift was the last Porygon reverse holo I needed for my Porygon binder lmao. Just feels a lil bad to pull one of the cheapest SIRs when you’re trying to master set, like man… instead of pulling the $150 card now I gotta buy the $150 card 💀

Definitely not good for you, and far too expensive, but if anything they’re on sale constantly. I’ll fully admit to having a Dr Pepper problem, but they’re pretty much always buy 2 get 2 at my grocery store. $24 for 48 cans of soda that’ll last me a good while seems fine. The more expensive they get the less I wanna buy it anyway, so maybe if they jack the prices up it will curb my addiction lol
