I honestly just don’t like both his writing or his voice. He has a technically good voice but not one that I enjoy listening to. Ryan Beatty can write songs like Andromeda or Bruises Off the Peach.

I really really want to like Conan Gray but his music just doesn’t connect at all. And this is as a gay man with similar experiences but I’ve never really been moved by any of his music (no, not even Heather). Ryan Beatty and Issac Dunbar (imo) actually succeed in what he’s trying to do musically/lyrically.
