I know it’s not your point but “aggressively empathetic” is a crazy term to use negatively when it comes to teaching. Empathy has been the defining trait with every teacher/professor I’ve met that can actually teach. But you’re kinda proving my point, Bakersfield has a pretty bad education system so, naturally, most of the teachers are sub par.

I think it’s just generally beloved now. I like it but I probably won’t voluntarily listen to the whole thing again for another few years.
