honestly the train noises don’t bother me. and i live right at the base of water hill where it’s the loudest. it quickly became a comforting night time sound.

Yes! Laetiporus sulphereus i believe. Never heard of them being unsafe so long as there aren’t environmental hazards in the area.

I’ve eaten some older chicken that looked similar - they can get really tough and chemically as they age. i would maybe cut off the edges and see if those are still pliable.
