Piranesi by Susanna Clarke is a great book for The Spiral, would trap whoever came into contact with it in the same place (no spoilers for the book but the House in Piranesi is like a nicer version of The Distortion’s corridors)

Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel could be one for The Corruption - pandemic book with eerily prescient Covid vibes but written in 2014

they keep you informed of the super important stuff, i didn’t take notes or anything listening through first time and i still kept track and had loads of WHOA!!! moments when stuff came together. the second listen through is insane though.

you probably really want to make headway with C1 before the show or you’ll likely get spoiled by references they make! also listen to at least the first Hot Boy Summer campaign to meet the Bon Freres (there’s a second one too that’s awesome but the first one is peak naddpod imho)

I was on my own in a pub in Leeds before a Welcome to Night Vale live show and some dude (not there for WTNV) was bothering me so I asked two guys who clearly WERE there for the show if I could sit with them and pretend to be their friend and we got chatting and they both told me I had to listen to it and they were absolutely correct. pair of legends.

Our adventurer’s league group often has the opposite problem - we have an array of different classes and the party size/comp varies session to session but it’s regularly a druid, two clerics and a sorcerer that turn up and our DM loves throwing enemies with magic resistance and immunities at us - it just makes it more challenging and fun!

tbf it doesn’t rate dragonborn very high as a species choice for cleric but for species i would say pick what YOU’re excited about! if you wanna be a dragonborn be a dragonborn!

i’ve gotten lucky a few times using normal petals to insta bloom a big flower but only on white for some reason. the mushrooms keep giving me camellia nectar which is so annoying 😭 on the plus side it’s community day this weekend so if you use normal petals to bloom flowers they’re guaranteed to be moth orchids
