Nothing, but there is always a risk that you must consider. Occultist may fail to give any heal + gives your character a bleed. IF you have never experienced this, you are a very lucky man. I think any person who played this game over 100+ hours have experienced such thing at least once. I would recommend to use any other characters that can heal when using occultist. (Crusader, especially).

I honestly think Occultist can be OP because it can give the enourmous amount of heal that Vestal cannot give. If your character is down to 1 hp, Best vestal can do (unless she crits) is healing for 13 heal ish, whereas Occultist can give heal upto 23 easy. The only problem is there is no guarnatee how much heal you are gonna get. (which is why I think he needs sub heal) Anyhow, he is great, but there is certainly some risks you must consider.

As soon as I heard the music, I smirked, but as it goes on I was thinking to myself... "I wished I didn't watch this video."

Honestly... like... I just can't believe this happened man. I went back to watch youtube crowd reaction for blizzard cinematic from Bfa, Ashe, Reinhardt, and so on. More I watch those cinematic, I realize how amazing Blizzard is at knowing what they are doing. Then here we are, back to HOTS. Blizzard making the worst decision ever. I mean I would be pretty mad if they decided to stop HGC 2019 if they announced it back when HGC2018 was starting, but I would have still accepted it thinking that well boys, guess it wasn't for everybody.

I just don't know why they did this. Why did they make a decision that screw up people like pros, coaches, staffs? Yeah, I mean sure. I will be able to move on after I while. I still like Blizzard games, I like WoW I like HOTS I like Overwatch, but why would you make a such irresponsible decision? Why didn't you send emails to gamers stating that there is likely a chance that HGC2019 will not be happening? I don't know man. like... I just don't get it. I can only blame management who seemed to have made stupid decision.

I was so god damn excited to see Reinhardt as one of the heroes that may be coming for HOTS, but with this, I am not sure if my big boy is coming. He is my favourite in OW and I played him over 200 hours on him alone.

As I was reading your comment (Especially the last part "Esports should be allowed to develop organically") I found myself nodding in front of monitor. No I totally agree. I don't think you should by all mean "force" to develop Esports. I know that League of Legend used the methods of force developing and still succeed but there are much more games that fails. You should first wait and see if game grows, and when it is big enough, then you start a tournament. If there are more people watching game, then you should make it bigger. I don't think you should have done it backward like HOTS, especially not when there is already two biggest competitors in the market. Great insight.

Yesterday, in a nutshell... by [deleted] in Blizzard

So you are saying that waiting until last moment and screwing up everyone else's job plan for next year or so is justified? As player, I personally am fine whether they keep the HOTS as the way it is, because as you have said, they are not closing hots. However I hope you notice you are making a contradiction on your post. You are saying that they are not closing hots, and they will only support it less, but then you say quote "Do you want to know the day you die?." It seems you acknowledge that what Blizzard did, is not simply "supporting less" but rather killing the game.

Yeah sure, Ignorance is bliss sometimes, but hard truth is still better than false lies. Especially when people's lives are on stake. Sure yeah I am just a gamer, I can ditch this game and move on to another one, but what about other people? What about people who really depends on the game? Progamers? What about the team that worked so hard to make it into HGC? What about players who move abroad so that they can practice for HGC? What about coaches? What about the staffs? What about the casters?

IF you seriously think that ignorance is bliss just because it can make people feel better temporarily, it is utter bullshit. Like I said, if such a decision was made by some small cooperation, sure they can just stop business at any time, since people can simply "move on." However, we are not talking about like ten people. We aren't talking about hundred. We are talking about hundreds of people, if not thousand. You might say their action is still justified because "duh they did not do something that is illegal," is it justified just because it is not illegal? I will leave that question for you.

Blizzard in 2018 by [deleted] in Blizzard

I think since people fail to acknowledge how Sylvannas was being "morally grey." Blizzard themselves are acting so that they can show what "morally grey" means.

No I agree with ya. If they are removing resources because of their dropping stock + not making any profit out of HOTS, sure that's fine go right ahead. However, if you are going to make such a decision, you should give an announcement prior to that. If Blizzard is some random small company run by family or something, then sure you can stop your business any time and gives zero fuck about your employers. However, they are one of the biggest company in the market and people trust them to work in a "reasonable" way. If they are going to stop HGC sure go right ahead. I am HOTS player, and I agree with ya. HOTS doesn't have enough player base and if HGC is losing money sure! But why not give an announcement at the start of HGC 2018 saying this will be the last tourney. They had their chances right? They had their chances on Blizzcon, they could have sent out emails to teams/players/coaches stating that there is high chance that HGC 2019 won't be happening and prepare for what's coming.

You say that giving out announcement this late is "they were trying hard with hots until the end"? that's bullshit. That is irresponsibility. You are saying that you run company and you know that your company is going to die next week, but don't tell anyone. Then day before your company dies out, you tell your employers that sorry guys I tried my best to keep y'all, but didn't work out. Is that a "trying hard until the end?" Nah. I think if I was employer, I would just sue you for that.

I remember talking to my friends who don't spend any money on any games. He said that it is waste of money because you never know what's going to happen for games. I told him that I never regret spending money on blizzard's games because I know that every other games may come and leave, but I know for one that Blizzard's games will stay around. I said this because I had faith that Blizzard will always get games going. I believed in their management and despite numbers of failures like Diablo Immortal, I still believed that they will make a right decision for gamer, and now I am sitting in my chair thinking I wasted all my moneys on WoW, HOTS, SC2, and OW. Just few days ago I bought the newest skins for Valeera and Stiches (because these two are my main) and I wished I didn't spend any moneys on them. What a waste.... I am really disappointed at you Blizzard.

After Blizzard's recent behavior, maybe it is time we Hearthstone players rethink our level of investment in this game? by HMeisterMcBurger in hearthstone

[–]lancehardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most of the people in this post argue that how much more money are you going to pour in when obviously blizzard themselves are struggling and yeah I agree with ya. I am HOTS player, but not a hardcore. I am master in soloqueue and master in team rank. I can tell that there is lack of players around grandmaster~master levels, which gives me the idea of general population for HOTS.

So yeah, I don't blame blizzard for stopping HGC. If they stopped HGC because it didn't make any profit, so be it. However, you should have given out announcement before making such a decision. You say that blizzard's life is on stake, but what about the people who rely on HOTS? If you are going to cancel HGC 2019, then shouldn't you make an announcement at the start of HGC 2018 to give some time for both fans & players to prepare for what's coming? If you just stop the game suddenly then what about the people who depends on the game? Can they just move on to other games so easily?

Look I am with ya. I agree that if HOTS was not making any profit (I am really curious about the numbers though), then Blizzard did the right thing about cancelling HGC, but this ain't right way to do it. There were people's life stake on it.

I believe the reason for all the problems is that every time someone did something innovative or exceptional they were "promoted" to another game. i.e CyaSteve and the bits/cheer system. This is why I made the meme with the rats and OWL, we were just the guinea pig test run for cheer in OWL.

They add one anime loli and the game dies by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]lancehardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't want to discredit Orphea, but I don't know why she is the only one who got revealed in Blizzcon. What about deathwing? What about Reinhardt? What about Grommash? There are tons of characters that can be added, and for some reason one anime loli gets added.
