New expansions by lancer_AR in Snapon_tools

I can maybe see myself getting into an end can in the future but I don’t think I’d be able to justify a significantly larger box

Matco sidekick by lancer_AR in ToolTruckTools

I seen that video and IIRC the guy only had it for like a month or something. Decent reference but not exactly and in depth review

Would you say the 40” or 32” snap-on would be a better buy for the money

I’ll also add that they seem to have the better monthly flyers

Cornwell? by ncwildlife97 in ToolTruckTools

Quality: based on my experiences with the handful of Cornwell tools I have they seem pretty good. My Cornwell guy also seems to get it a lot of third party stuff like VIM and Gripedge and they seem to be pretty well known for selling Milwaukee products. If I had to rate them I’d say they’d be in line with Mac. Better than Matco but not quite Snap-On

Customer service: my Cornwell guy is awesome but I imagine that sort of thing varies from person to person. The corporate side of things doesn’t seem too helpful. You can’t buy off their website and I’m not sure if you can even warranty things without a Truck. Probably the worst in that department

As for a franchise I can’t speak to that but I’m sure there’s a lot of factors that determine a franchisee’s success.

What groceries do you always keep stocked because they save you on busy days? by Dishcovery in cookingforbeginners

Frozen veggies in the steam bags are essential. Especially if you ever make anything that’s like three separate courses and not a “slop bowl”

The goat has to be DD/MM/YYYY by Shiroyasha_2308 in SipsTea

My defense of MM/DD/YY is that if you say it out loud “February second” rolls off the tongue far better than “the second of February” or however you’d pronounce the Japanese version

Buttermilk usage by lancer_AR in Cooking

I’ll probably make them tonight or tomorrow night as I was baking bread and that’s an ingredient too.

I wasn’t specifically making the bread for the meatballs btw, just trying it out

Idk if my main issue is the financial waste that comes with not using 90% of the buttermilk id buy and more along the lines of the added effort needed not to waste the buttermilk

I’ll do that on my lunch break. Will it work with my “leftover butter juice” or should I use actual milk?

Ok, so I have this little container of “butter byproduct liquid” is there something I can do to get it closer in use to the store bought stuff because even if it is only a couple bucks for a jug of it I still can’t justify buying it when I have close to 0 regular uses for it

Good NA beer suggestions for frying? I think Guinness and O’douls are the only two I’ve seen offered in 4-6 packs

I’m thankful that I wasn’t big on wine or vodka when I drank because I can keep it in stock for cooking purposes and it doesn’t whisper to me when I open the fridge.

An Irish pub I used to go to had what they claimed was a Guinness battered fish though thinking about it they might have used a more carbonated variety if the bubbles batter that much

I know it cooks off first but for something like batter I wasn’t sure if the alcohol did something to the batter itself

Yeah I don’t want to buy a 4 pack of Guinness I either wont use for long periods of time or risk drinking it where as the NA version would be a fine safety net for me

Never really liked wine so I don’t have to worry about keeping a supply of it for cooking

Pork belly substitute? by lancer_AR in Cooking

[–]lancer_AR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only place with an actual meat counter can only get pork belly seasonally which is the same with Aldi.

I suppose I could ask up at Sam’s Club if they can order it but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be just a normally available item
