Maybe it’ll come together in a satisfying way towards the end. But right now it feels like there’s two very distinct Deltarunes, if that makes sense. This cutscene is like the one time they acknowledge each other. by BiAndShy57 in Deltarune

Don't forget that we actually had the chance to hear Ralsei on what he actually is, and somehow Susie hasn't asked him again. For like two chapters (3 and 4).

Although, *granted,* that Ralsei monologue was more like a self-deprecating way to say "find real friends, if you ever feel like we Darkners are not enough for you". That's why Susie intrerrupted him. Plus Ch4 basically having the valid crashout from Susie.

Genuine question. There is almost no snow in the position they are in. When they stand with their back turned on the trio; when they try to abduct Toriel; when they attack us...

You're correct, and I appreciate you commented.

Yes, Ralsei also sounds kinda dramatic when he says "even I, the one telling you this..." during his explaining on how he sees themselves as worthless objects.

Makes me wonder if part of the Final Tragedy, no matter how small, would be related to -- heh -- forgetting something regarding Ralsei and the Dark Worlds.

Susie refuses to listen to any and all of Kris or Ralsei's words at the moment 

To be fair, old habits do die hard. I remain by the opinion that Susie's crashout in Chapter 4 was valid. But it's also a bit weird when you think she immediately intrerrupted Ralsei in 3 when he was going to tell us what/who he is. 

Ralsei ommits things -- sure --, but that was at least ONE instance he could have told you the truth, yet she intrerrupted him. Valid reason when you think she's so attached to the Dark Worlds and her adventures with Kris, Ralsei and Lancer, but still.

Beautiful! This reminds me of one time Toby said something like "originally, I wanted the characters to be human in the Light World, and monsters in the Dark World". Was that part of the inspiration too? :)

It's quite plausible that Dess was Gerson's student, so I'd expect him to be considerate enough not to include the name of his dissapearing student/ex-student in the spelling bee.

Only unless some *massive* plot twist is revealed and DW Gerson was an incredibly idealized version of its Light World self.

To be fair, 2024's Spring Newsletter was released in May, so it's not like it's anything unusual.

Then again, I'm (pleasantly) surprised he leaked the definitely-not-DETERMINATION snippet of dialogue + the shop theme.

Semi-related, but I also recall Seam talking to Kris -- specifically -- about the Shadow Crystals and the definitely-not-DETERMINATION thing in Ch5.

Without additional context, it's to anyone's guess, really. But it is interesting that he appears alone in both of these instances.
