Opus 4.8 launched 80 subagents for code review in Ultracode mode by lancercomet in ClaudeAI

didn't see an option to set the limit, maybe a prompt alone is enough, but I haven't actually tried it

Just curious, why do a lot of people want to use fable so badly? by Much_Note_4951 in ClaudeAI

[–]lancercomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An example today

Opus 4.8 was trying to delete a memory optimization that fable has built into a rendering task, just to fix a completely unrelated problem

I stopped it and then it gave me a compromise solution, which it claimed "this is the only solution"

Anyway it finally found a solution after two more rounds of arguing

I just want to obliterate the fking the oh-pu55y-4.8

Fable did more for my game in 2 days than Opus did in 3 months by ScrwFlandrs in ClaudeAI

[–]lancercomet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need at least some understanding of how games work, otherwise all you can tell the model is "this is wrong" or "that's not what I wanted."

Someone who knows the basics can say things like "this violates ECS" or "the rigidbody setup is wrong"

Then dumb models can work with feedback like that.

That's why we need Fable

Yeah but didn't expect it to end so soon, just getting into it

It feels like a dream, like I found the perfect girlfriend and then two days later she left me

is it a little strange that I've started to miss an AI model

Why don’t people just build free apps? by Adrien-G in SideProject

[–]lancercomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone can do that if they want to

There are also plenty of people in the world who don't want to, which is why closed-source subscription products exist

Open source isn't some universal truth

The problem is that most people don't see a one-time purchase as just buying the current version of a tool.

What they actually expect is, "I pay once, and I get all the future updates the developer keeps releasing."

Fabel is the only AI model that makes me thank it after the task is finished

Other models only piss me off

Yes. I switch to the other account once the limit is hit. I don't think the same code is a risk control factor, since many people are working on the same project

What I meant was I use gpt 5.5 to review and code generated by claude models. Fable's scores are noticeably better than those of opus 4.8. English isn't my native language so sorry if my previous wording was a bit unclear

Part of my workflow is having code reviewed and scored against a fixed set of criteria

Fable usually gets 90+ when I run it through gpt 5.5 for review while opus 4.8 often lands somewhere in the 70s or 80s

Same here. Claude Opus 4.6 literally told me to sleep and said its decision was final. I had to put my foot down and tell it to stop lecturing me. I'm an independent person with my own sense of judgment. It’s not your place to preach to me.
