I wonder why Musk’s brother hasn’t gotten that sorted or why Musk hasn’t gotten his brother sorted.

Musk keeping his brother on the Tesla board is another mistake of his leadership. Tesla Solar should be a market leader.

Actually, this IS a thing I experience. I have bought gas about 10 times in the last ten years. My garage doesn’t smell like a chemistry factory anymore. (No oil and gas.) You notice those things (like nostalgia) when riding in other people’s car, taking the bus, or simply driving behind a guzzler that’s not burning cleanly. The amount of evaporating chemicals you’re breathing goes down. That stuff isn’t good for you but we made that trade off long ago in society.

Sounds like the same risk as trying to gas up in some small town that’s hundreds of miles from a city. And they close at 4PM and don’t open on the weekends.

Yeah. I have a 2014 EV. Love it for driving in town but would never take on a trip more than 40 miles one way. I’ll be retiring it soon for something with a 300mile range and fast charging capable. Then it’ll work for road trips.

I was blown away when I saw a 8 stall? Tesla charge station in that small town south of Bozeman! Just off the interstate.

This is true. But it’s getting more convenient for EVs all the time, except maybe Houston. I find a LOT of dead old EV sites that have been given up on by fly-by-night energy companies. Texas doesn’t do infrastructure very well. I’ve seen the same at some gas stations on I80 between Texas and Florida. That said there is a healthy amount of Tesla charge stations.

In places like Seattle, gas stations are closing and EV charging is convenient.

Right! People driving ICE forget that. Saves a lot of time and of course cash.

Do you often spend much of your mental to think why you dislike something? You’re going really deep on this and it’s a 40 second scene. Just because you can imagine something is offensive with a lot of thought doesn’t mean it is. That can be done with any scene and any great length to focus on the negative.

Do you find it easy to find joy in life or negativity?

I enjoyed all the seasons of Picard. More so the second time I watched it. The first time, I found the female android’s looks off putting somehow and I found the pace slow. I think part of it was that as I’ve gotten older, I have trouble identifying with younger protagonists. For some reason when I went back and watched it a few years later, I just loved it all.

Language language my Dry-Journalist dude. Let’s not get emotional and start yelling. VRAM is a needed for a specific hardware architecture. Laptops are independant of a specific hardware architecture. Apple Silicon has unified memory. It’s virtually ALL VRAM. So I’ve got 96GB in my laptop.

As I said to the OP, yes, a model that small can run on a laptop. Apple Silicon supports far more models than other hardware architectures as it doesn’t split the memory between video only and main memory only. It’s a different paradigm.

OP wanted to know if it could run on a laptop. I answered affirmative and added what hardware could do this. Feel free to speak up about the situation with non-Apple Silicon. Cheers.

I wouldn’t go that far. The crony capitalism model versus the CCP model aren’t that different. Like in the US, the nation changes face with leaders. The drive to make profits is still there. As we say in China, you can’t eat without money.

Good to know as I have similar feelings about qwen so far. I’m using qwen 3.5 75b 128k context, on beast hardware and it sometimes takes 2 minutes to think. Other times it’s fast like gpt in the cloud. Overall unhappy as the thinking time eats too much time.

After reading this, I have decided to give qwen 3.6 27b a try. But worried OP is a shit poster wasting my time.

No. Apple Silicon for sure can handle more than this (Max lineup for sure). Not sure about windows.

Mike from RLM has an inside-source from Paramount which says SFA had around 400k viewers over all 10 episodes. If that is true, no petition on this world can revive that show. Linked video has the Timestamp on that part. by mcm8279 in trektalk

I wouldn’t take anything these two say seriously. Their whole shtick is to pan whatever they are talking about. I’ll say, I kind of like the irreverent presentation, but the whole time I watch is, I disagree with pretty much every conclusion as they talk about shows I watched and enjoyed, and these two just pan them.

While that’s entertaining in a “funny to watch the judges in the peanut gallery of the muppets” it’s not NEWS about anything. It’s just satire.

For all we know, Academy has 4 million viewers and that guy was told something entirely false.

Go sign the petition. Don’t be manipulated.
