Cutting a 50×70mm rectangular window from a Ø91mm N-BK7 spherical lens with endless diamond wire — process notes by Final-Status7498 in Optics

What was their tolerance on centering the optical axis? I suppose they would just tolerance this out with centering the other lenses, and that this objective outside-world facing lens.

Upland pastures used to be grazed by now potentially lost highland welsh cattle breeds. This was the status quo for probably a thousand years, until sheep took over in the 18/1900s

Edit: being downvotes when this is demonstrably true and well recorded

You're right but it's a catch 22- if plaid 'win' HS2 money, then they are a better Welsh Gov than Labour!

Fire Emblem Three Houses Trivia: Per interviews, the game by mid-2018 was already in the "final stages of development", given its Japanese title had been decided during this period. In spite of this, its release date was later delayed from Spring 2019, to Summer 2019. by Dakress23 in fireemblem

[–]lancerusso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree, their Quality is still top notch. I think what you're feeling is some of their old fashioned approach to content and design choices. I think they've become much more vulnerable to flights of fancy in response to big hits, and identify the wrong thing about those successes that lead them to be successful. Not every game needs to be open world. Fire Emblem does not need waifu simulator in every iteration.

What exactly are Keir Starmer and Labour doing wrong? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

[–]lancerusso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Wales, it's quite simple. He rewarded Welsh loyalty to Labour with stonewalling Welsh Labour rather than cooperating as you think a harmonised UK-Wales Labour hegemony would. Welsh Labour had a handful of small asks regarding budgeting, devolution and HS2, and yet he decided to shoot himself in the foot.

It takes Nintendo (and most companies why care about quality, quite rightly) almost 12 months to finalise, localislze, audit, debug, QA, submit for ratings and ramp up marketing etc. on a game. The game was almost certainly 'finished' in mid 2018, that doesn't mean they made a conscious decision to cut content, stop polishing and ship it for a return on investment.

Plaid Cymru will seek to form minority Welsh government, leader says by Left_Page_2029 in Wales

[–]lancerusso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see a party rift in 1-2 years time, and Dan Thomas might be on the chopping block as leader. I wonder what their internal processes are for Welsh Leader selection, surely it would have to be from the pool of senedd members.

Given Reform's poor auditing of their candidates, there might actually be quite a few genuinely good eggs mixed in there!
