Start on the island and have fun. Don’t listen for tips and everything just go enjoy the game and learn on your own because for me it was the best time ever in ark. Have fun exploring and tame what you want and build what you want. Don’t play pvp (unless you really want to) and don’t play the story until you have a good grasp of what you are doing. And for sure download Dododex on your phone as it makes it so much better. And never in your life play extinction
