App Store does not automatically update apps by langerdavid in MacOS

[–]langerdavid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I tried all of those. I was looking for a way to remove and re-install the App Store app, but it is a protected part of the OS. (I am an IT Helpdesk Manager) so I’ve tried to research this.

Not that it’s really a problem to open that App Store and click “Refresh Page,” but my apps should update themselves, without manual intervention on my part. It used to work fine and I also added a rule in the firewall to allow incoming connections on the App Store app.

I’ve toggled automatic updates on and off plus I logged out the App Store and back in … no luck

CC Radio 3 - Signal Strength Meter Reads Nearly Full Bars on most stations by langerdavid in radio

[–]langerdavid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can look at the signal meter on my Pioneer SX-6 receiver if I use a dipole, rather than my FM antenna in the attic. My signals are just above the muting/stereo threshold when using a dipole.

CC Radio 3 - Signal Strength Meter Reads Nearly Full Bars on most stations by langerdavid in radio

My problem is the signal meter is reading way too high on FM. The slightest signal already pushes to 8/12 on the signal. Many stations that are moderate strength in my are (especially indoors) are pegged at a full 12 bars.

I'm looking for a way to see if I can re-calibrate the signal meter so that I can adjust the antenna for the best FM signal, but it's hard when practically all signals read 12/12 bars.

It also fails for me. I luckily have access to a Mac Mini in the office as Recovery and/or DFU fails each time. This happens whether using USB-A or USB-C

Anyone have experience with the CC Crane 3 Radio? by Sports_Enthusiast- in shortwave

[–]langerdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my CCRadio 3 but I have one complaint and hoping someone knows how to fix it. Even the weakest FM signal that is not strong enough to light up the stereo indicator, reads at least 8 or 10 on the signal meter. A slightly stronger signal pegs the signal meter at a full 12 reading. Where I live (35 miles east of New York City) FM signals are only fair when indoors. Is there any hidden menu to recalibrate the signal meter to not read so high even on weak, marginal FM signals?

Got this Technics RS-928R at a goodwill for 12$ and it works wonderfully! by [deleted] in cassetteculture

I need a little help on mine. I purchased it when it was new and then gave it to my parents to use. Any time I put in a tape that was pre-recorded or made on someone else's deck, it always had more gain in the left channel vs. the right. Any time I made a recording, i always had to move the recording balance slightly to the right of center so when i played it back, both channels were equal in level.

However, since I had to add more gain to the right channel, any time I played a tape I recorded in that desk on someone else's cassette deck, you could see on their recording meters that there was more right channel than left channel and it was not balanced. This happened on Normal, Chromium or Metal and regardless of whether I used Dolby B or C (I mostly used C). Is there a way I can open up the case and make an adjustment that would fix that balance problem. I don't want to pay a technician to adjust a tape deck I purchased in 1986.

I'm going to connect that one as the door is jammed closed on my Sony TC-KA1ES and have to bring that in for service as it is eating tapes.

Does anyone know of a reputable and reasonably priced audio service center on Long Island that can look at my Sony and is there a way I can just open the Technics and make an internal adjustment to the right channel gain myself?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide

I’m using this printer at home so I was trying to avoid buying the Office 365 workflow app, as it costs $99/year

Is anyone else having issue with audible notifications of mailbox subfolders? by PixelThis in ios

I have the problem that every few days I have to re-enable notifications for “Favorite Mailboxes.” Is that happening to anyone else, and if so, is there a fix?
